George Arias (born 21 April 1974) is a Brazilian former professional boxer. He challenged once for the WBO cruiserweight title in 2001.
Arias faced boxers such as Kubrat Pulev, [1] Hughie Fury, [2] Taras Bidenko, Owen Beck, Sinan Şamil Sam and Juan Carlos Gomez. All but Gomez failed to stop Arias.
He started his career at cruiserweight, having a short against WBO cruiserweight champion Johnny Nelson in January 2001 losing by a lopsided unanimous decision.
He fought on the undercard of an IBF title match between Chris Byrd vs Evander Holyfield on December 14, 2002, against former NABF champion Fres Oquendo, losing by 11th-round TKO. [3]
On 6 September 2008, Arias faced former Olympic Gold medalist Audley Harrison at the MEN Arena in Manchester, live on Sky Box Office, on the undercard of Amir Khan vs. Breidis Prescott. [4] but lost on points 94 to 98. He only had a 4-day notice to the bout after Martin Rogan had pulled out with injury. [5] [6] [7]
Arias is a former Brazilian and South American heavyweight title holder. As of 2009 he was preparing himself to make an assault toward the world title but this time with the professional help of investors, however this never came to pass and he never received a shot at a world heavyweight title. He works as a personal trainer.
He retired after a 2nd-round TKO defeat at the hand of Zhang Junlong. [8]

Alexander Viktorovych "Sascha" Dimitrenko is a Ukrainian-born German former professional boxer who competed from 2001 to 2019, and held the European heavyweight title from 2010 to 2011.
Alexander "Sasha" Ustinov is a Russian professional boxer, former kickboxer and mixed martial artist. In boxing, he has challenged once for the WBA (Regular) heavyweight title in 2017.
Kubrat Venkov Pulev is a Bulgarian professional boxer. He has challenged once for the IBF and the Ring magazine heavyweight titles in 2014, and once for the unified heavyweight title in 2020. He won the WBA International heavyweight title in 2024. At regional level, he has held multiple heavyweight championships, including the European title twice between 2012 and 2016. As an amateur, he won multiple medals at international tournaments, including gold at the 2008 European Championships and bronze at the 2005 World Championships, all in the super-heavyweight division. He also represented Bulgaria at the 2008 Olympics.
David Price is a British former professional boxer who competed from 2009 to 2019. At regional level, he held multiple heavyweight championships, including the British and Commonwealth titles from 2012 to 2013, and challenged once for the European title in 2015. As an amateur, he won a bronze medal at the 2008 Olympics, gold at the 2006 Commonwealth Games and 2008 EU Championships, and three ABA titles; all in the super-heavyweight division.
Óscar Andres Rivas Torres is a Colombian professional boxer. He held the WBC bridgerweight title from 2021 to 2023. Jarrell Miller is an American professional boxer and former kickboxer who competes in the heavyweight division. He first came to prominence in 2007 when he competed for the New Jersey Tigers in the World Combat League and made it to the finals of the New York Golden Gloves tournament that same year. Miller was due to challenge Anthony Joshua for the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles in 2019, but was denied a license to box after failing multiple drug tests.
Hughie Lewis Fury is a British professional boxer. He challenged once for the World Boxing Organization (WBO) heavyweight title in 2017, and at regional level held the British heavyweight title in 2018. As an amateur he represented England at the 2012 Youth World Championships, winning a gold medal in the super-heavyweight division and becoming the first British boxer to do so.
