George Alexander Rix VD (1865-2 April 1945) was the third Anglican Bishop of Caledonia in Canada. He was elected to this position after an interregnum of four years due to the diocese's lack of funds. [1]
Rix was born in Barrie, [2] educated at Wycliffe College and ordained in 1893. [3] He was the incumbent at Cannington and Beaverton, Ontario. Next he was an assistant priest at the Church of the Redeemer, Toronto before returning to Wycliffe College as its dean. He then became the rector of Orangeville, Ontario [4] and then the Archdeacon of Prince Rupert. He was ordained to the episcopate in 1928 and died in office. [5]
Wycliffe Hall is a Church of England theological college and a Permanent Private Hall of the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. It is named after the Bible translator and reformer John Wycliffe, who was master of Balliol College, Oxford in the 14th century.

Francis John Taylor was the third Bishop of Sheffield from 1962. Born on 13 November 1912 and educated at Hymers College and The Queen's College, Oxford, he was ordained in 1937 and began his career with a curacy at Walcot, Bath. He was then a Tutor, Lecturer and Chaplain at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford after which he was Vicar of Christ Church, Claughton, Merseyside. From 1954, he was Principal of Wycliffe, a post he held until his elevation to the Episcopate. He died in post on 4 July 1971 aged 58.

He was born in London on 6 March 1927, educated at London University and ordained in 1953. After a curacy at St Mark's, Dalston he held incumbencies at Cassiar, Smithers and Fort St John. In 1969 he became Bishop of Caledonia and in 1980 was translated to New Westminster. In 1981 he became Metropolitan of British Columbia, resigning in 1993. From then until his retirement Principal, St Mark's Theological College and an Assistant Bishop in Dar es Salaam.
