The George Washington Colonials baseball team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of George Washington University in Washington, DC, United States. [2] The team is a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference, which is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. George Washington's first baseball team was fielded in 1891. The team plays its home games at Barcroft Park in Arlington, Virginia. The Colonials are coached by Gregg Ritchie.
The George Washington University has won eight total conference championships since sponsoring a program. The program has had 43 players drafted since its inception. [3]
Barcroft Park in Arlington, Va., has been the home of GW baseball since the team relocated off The Ellipse in 1993. The facility underwent a multimillion-dollar renovation in 2012 to install a new press box, concession area, dugouts, bullpens and stadium seating. [4]
In 2014, Ave Tucker, an alumnus and former center fielder, donated $2 million. The name of the facility was officially changed to Tucker Field in his honor. He graduated in 1977 from the George Washington University School of Business. [4]
The Colonials have had 12 coaches since 1950 when proper records were kept. The coach with the most all-time wins is Tom Walter with 275. [5]

The Florida State Seminoles are the athletic teams representing Florida State University located in Tallahassee, Florida. They compete as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level, primarily competing in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) for all sports since the 1991–92 season; within the Atlantic Division in any sports split into a divisional format since the 2005–06 season.

The only exception is the women's rowing program, which is a member of the Colonial Athletic Association. Altogether, the Eagles have won three NCAA Division II national championships and 13 NAIA Division I national championships in five different sports ; moreover, EMU has been NCAA Division I national runner-up twice. In 1940, the men's cross country team finished second to Indiana University at the national meet hosted by Michigan State University.
The Butler Bulldogs are the athletic teams that represent Butler University, located in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Bulldogs participate in 20 NCAA Division I intercollegiate sports. After leaving the Horizon League following the 2011–12 season, nearly all teams competed in the Atlantic 10 Conference. The football team is a founding member of the non-scholarship Football Championship Subdivision (FCS)-level Pioneer League. Michael Thomas Lonergan is the former head coach of the George Washington University Colonials men's basketball team. He replaced Karl Hobbs. He was formerly the coach of the University of Vermont Catamounts and the Catholic University of America (CUA) and before that a point guard for CUA.
The James Madison Dukes are the intercollegiate athletics teams that represent James Madison University (JMU), in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The name "Dukes" is derived from Samuel Page Duke, the university's second president. The Dukes play as members of the Sun Belt Conference. JMU was a charter member of the Colonial Athletic Association, which sponsors sports at the NCAA Division I level. In football, JMU participates in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of Division I, formerly known as Division I-A. The Dukes officially left the CAA and joined the Sun Belt Conference in 2022, participating in Division I FBS football and other sports sponsored by the conference.

Tucker Field at Barcroft Park is a baseball venue located in Arlington, Virginia, US. The field is home to the George Washington Colonials baseball team of the NCAA Division I Atlantic 10 Conference. The field holds a capacity of 500 spectators. The field is officially designated Tucker Field at Barcroft Park Field #6 and includes a new turf field laid in 2019 by FieldTurf, bullpens, enclosed dugouts, bleachers, lights, scoreboard, and pressbox.
The UNC Wilmington (UNCW) Seahawks are the varsity athletic teams representing the University of North Carolina Wilmington in Wilmington, North Carolina in intercollegiate athletics. The university sponsors eight teams for the men and eleven for the women. With the exception of beach volleyball, the Seahawks compete as a non-football member of NCAA Division I and are members of the Colonial Athletic Association.
