Georgios Stathis (born 1906, date of death unknown) was a Greek sports shooter. He competed at the 1936, 1948 and 1952 Summer Olympics. [1]

Andreas Ritzos also known as (Andreas Rico, Ricio or Rizo) was a Greek icon painter from Crete. Ritzos is considered one of the founding fathers of the Cretan School. The event was won by Edwin Vásquez of Peru in the nation's debut in the free pistol. Vásquez is still the only Peruvian athlete to win a gold medal at an Olympic Games. Rudolf Schnyder of Switzerland took silver. Defending champion Torsten Ullman of Sweden earned bronze, the second man to win multiple medals in the event.
