Georgy Petrovich Kamnev (born 5 October 1983 in Serdobsk, Penza Oblast, USSR), is a Russian politician and was formerly a Deputy Legislative Assembly of the Penza Region. He was First Secretary of the Penza regional branch of the CPRF from 21 May 2011 until 30 October 2021. Since 27 May 2017 he has been a member of the Presidium Central Committee of the CPRF, and since the 2021 Russian legislative election, a member of the 8th State Duma.
He was born on 5 October 1983 in the town of Serdobsk, located in the Penza region, in the family of workers of the Serdobsk watch factory. In 2005, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Law Penza State University and went on to take post-graduate courses. [1] In 2005, he became a laureate of the regional competition "Young Lawyer of the Year". In 2008, he completed his postgraduate course in law. He repeatedly took part in and won All-Russian and international competitions and conferences of legal scholars.
