Gerald Owens (Ger) born 13 July 1979 in Dublin is an Irish sailor. He competed at the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics in the 470 class. [1]

The event took place from Saturday 28 July to Thursday 2 August 2012 at ExCeL London. The tournament was a single elimination tournament with a third place playoff played between the two losing semi-finalists. In the 2008 event all three medals were won by Chinese athletes with Ma Lin taking gold.
