Girls is the debut studio album by American rapper Yung Baby Tate (later known as Baby Tate). It was self-released on February 5,2019. [1] The album was preceded by the singles "Pretty Girl" and "That Girl". On June 25,2019,a deluxe version was released with four bonus tracks. [2]
On April 3,2018,Tate released "Pretty Girl",the lead single from the album. [3] The song was re-released as a remix featuring Killumantii and Mulatto on January 16,2019. [4] On November 13,2018,Tate released "That Girl" as the second single from the album. [5] Girls,along with its tracklist and release date,was officially announced by Tate via Twitter on January 22,2019. [6]
A short film was released on January 29,2019 to accompany the album and was directed by Christian Cody,who also shot the album cover. [7] The deluxe edition of Girls was teased by Tate on her social medias in May and June 2019. The release date and cover were officially revealed by Tate via Twitter on June 18,2019. [8]

Girls received a favorable review from Michelle Kim of Pitchfork. Kim gave the album a 6.8,she noted that on Girls,Tate "flexes all her modes,too,delivering silky R&B vocals,sassy bubblegum-popping bars,and pop-punky chants." [9]

Everything but the Girl are an English musical duo formed in Kingston upon Hull in 1982, consisting of lead singer, songwriter, composer and occasional guitarist Tracey Thorn and guitarist, keyboardist, songwriter, composer, producer and singer Ben Watt. In 2013, he formed the Drain Gang music collective alongside childhood friends Ecco2K, Thaiboy Digital, and Whitearmor. Bladee began releasing music that same year, and gained attention after collaborating with Yung Lean.
"1999" is a song by English singer Charli XCX and Australian singer Troye Sivan, released as the lead single from the former's third studio album Charli on 5 October 2018. The single cover was inspired by the 1999 film The Matrix. It follows several singles released earlier in 2018 by Charli XCX and Sivan's 2018 album Bloom. Her debut studio album, Troubled Paradise, was released in June 2021 under Fader. Her second album, Starfucker, was released on September 22, 2023.

It was released on 15 May 2019 as the second single from Charli XCX's third studio album, Charli, and soon after debuted on BBC Radio 1 as Annie Mac's "Hottest Record in the World". It is Charli XCX's first single since her 2018 collaboration with Troye Sivan, "1999". The single is a reworked version of "Track 10", the final track from Charli XCX's mixtape Pop 2 (2017). The daughter of singer Dionne Farris, she released her debut project, ROYGBIV, in 2015. She has since garnered significant attention for the successful viral single "I Am" featuring Flo Milli and the EP After the Rain, among others. Her song "Beckham" was featured in the pilot episode of Euphoria in 2019. In 2021, she signed a record deal with Warner Records and released her major label debut single, "Pedi", on October 29, 2021. Ashton Nicole Casey, known professionally as Ashnikko, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. Her 2019 single "Stupid" featuring Yung Baby Tate gained viral popularity on the video-sharing platform TikTok and was certified platinum in the United States and Canada. Ashnikko's debut mixtape, Demidevil, was released in January 2021, and spawned the singles "Daisy" and "Slumber Party". Her studio album, Weedkiller, came in 2023.
Black Dresses was a Canadian noise pop duo consisting of Ada Rook and Devi McCallion, formed in 2017. Their debut album, Wasteisolation, was released independently in 2018. The duo released three additional albums, Thank You (2019), Love and Affection for Stupid Little Bitches (2019), and Peaceful as Hell (2020), before breaking up in 2020 in response to harassment received by McCallion. Despite maintaining their declaration of disbandment in 2020, Black Dresses released three additional albums, Forever in Your Heart (2021), Forget Your Own Face (2022), and Laughingfish (2024). Upon releasing Laughingfish, the band announced that it would be their final album.
City on Lock is the second studio album by American hip hop duo City Girls. The album leaked in its entirety on June 19, 2020, whereafter it was released on June 20 by Quality Control Music and Motown Records. It serves as the follow-up to their 2018 debut studio album Girl Code and features guest appearances from Yo Gotti, Doja Cat, Lil Durk and Lil Baby. The album's first single, "Jobs", was released hours before the album release alongside a music video. The album's second single, "Pussy Talk" featuring Doja Cat, was released on July 6, 2020, alongside a music video.

She formed the Miami, Florida-based hip hop duo City Girls with Yung Miami in 2017, and began her solo career in 2023. She co-performed on Summer Walker's 2021 single "Ex for a Reason", which peaked within the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 and marked her first entry on the chart as a solo act. Her 2024 single "Okay" peaked at number 72 on the chart.

The album was supported by four singles: "Bitch from da Souf (Remix)", "Muwop", "On God", and "In n Out" ; alongside two promotional singles: "No Hook" and "He Say She Say". The album features guest appearances from other artists such as 21 Savage and 42 Dugg. The album debuted at number 44 on the Billboard 200. The album's extended version was released on December 11, 2020.

Beginning his career in 2017, he rose to mainstream prominence following the release of his 2023 single "Favorite Song", which first gained virality on the social media platform TikTok. The song peaked at number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, earned double platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), and preceded the release of his second studio album, Naujour (2023). The album peaked at number 19 on the Billboard 200, although his debut album, Poetic Pain (2020), reached number 17 on the chart.
