Gislemyr is a neighbourhood in the city of Kristiansand in Vest-Agder county, Norway. It is located in the borough of Vågsbygd and in the district of Slettheia. Gislemyr is north of Karuss, and south of Trane, and west of Blørstad and Fiskåtangen. [1]

Kristiansand[krɪstjɑnˈsɑn](listen), historically Christianssand and Christiansand, is a city and municipality in Norway. It is the fifth largest city in Norway and the municipality is the sixth largest in Norway, with a population of 88,598 as of June 2016. In addition to the city itself, Statistics Norway counts four other densely populated areas in the municipality: Skålevik in Flekkerøy with a population of 3,526 in the Vågsbygd borough, Strai with a population of 1,636 in the Grim borough, Justvik with a population of 1,803 in the Lund borough, and Tveit with a population of 1,396 in the Oddernes borough. Kristiansand is divided into five boroughs: Grim, which is located northwest in Kristiansand with a population of 15,000; Kvadraturen, which is the centre and downtown Kristiansand with a population of 5,200; Lund, the second largest borough; Oddernes, a borough located in the west; and Vågsbygd, the largest borough with a population of 36,000, located in the southwest.

Vollevannet is a freshwater is a lake in the municipality of Kristiansand in Vest-Agder county, Norway. The 0.15-square-kilometre (37-acre) lies in the district of Gimlekollen in the borough of Lund, and the surrounding residential area is also called Vollevannet. The lake lies along the European route E18 highway at the exit for the Vest-Agder Museum Kristiansand and Ålefjær. Historically, the lake was used as a reservoir for the city's drinking water. The lake is held back by two dams, and there is a small, sandy beach at the northeast end of the lake. The lake has perch in it.

Agder Police District covers the counties of Aust-Agder and Vest-Agder except Sirdal municipality in Norway, approximately 14,880 square kilometres (5,750 sq mi). The district is headquartered in Kristiansand and consists of seven police stations, Kristiansand, Vågsbygd and Randesund in Kristiansand and in Flekkefjord, Mandal, Grimstad and Arendal, and nineteen sheriff's offices (lensmannskontor). In the police district are approximately 280,000 inhabitants. Agder Police District was established on 1 January 2002 by a merger of the former police districts of Vest-Agder, Kristiansand and Arendal.

Gillsvannet lake in Kristiansand, Norway

Gillsvannet or Gjelsvannet is a freshwater lake in the municipality of Kristiansand in Vest-Agder county, Norway. The 1.05-square-kilometre (260-acre) lake is located about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) northeast of downtown Kristiansand, along to County Road 452. The lake lies about 300 metres (980 ft) west of the Topdalsfjorden, at an elevation of about 1 metre above sea level. There is a practice range for kayaking on the lake as well as many areas used for swimming during the summer season. The Gimlekollen district lies on the southern shore of the lake and the village of Justvik lies just north of the lake.
