Glynn Motorsports is a former NASCARBusch Series and Craftsman Truck Series team. The team was owned by businessman Scott Glynn before it filed for bankruptcy in January 2006.
Glynn made its debut in 2005 when it announced it would merge with Akins Motorsports to field the No. 58 Serta/Hickory Farms Dodge Charger driven by rookie Brent Sherman. Sherman had a ninth-place finish at Talladega Superspeedway, but was released midseason in favor of Regan Smith. The team soon picked up sponsorship from Samson Stone and Who's Your Daddy?, and Smith had eight top-twenty finishes and three top-five starts. He finished 33rd in points. The team also fielded a second car late in the year, the No. 92 driven by Tracy Hines and Clay Rogers.
The team's truck operation debuted at Mansfield Motorsports Park in the Truck series in 2005. Regan Smith drove the No. 65 Dodge Ram to a 22nd-place finish. He ran four races for Glynn in the trucks, his best finish a twentieth at The Milwaukee Mile. Clay Rogers ran six races for Glynn in the trucks as well, posting two top-ten finishes. Tim Fedewa finished out the year for the team, posting a tenth at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and three top-five starts.
During the offseason, Rogers was scheduled to run with Glynn in the Busch Series in 2006, but the team ran out of financing. The team's owners points were sold to MacDonald Motorsports, and the equipment was purchased by Carver Racing.
James Carlyle "Carl" Long is an American professional stock car racing driver, mechanic, and team owner. He last competed part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 66 Toyota Supra for MBM Motorsports. Tracy Lee Hines is an American professional stunt driver. He was the 2000 USAC Silver Crown Champion and 2002 USAC National Sprint Car Champion. He currently does not have a full-time ride in NASCAR as he competes for Tony Stewart Racing in three USAC series.

ppc Racing is a former NASCAR team based in Mooresville, North Carolina. The team was owned by Greg Pollex. ppc Racing came about from a merger of Pollex's Busch Series team with a car owned by Steve DeSouza and Ted Campbell in 1999. The team won the 2000 Busch Series championship with driver Jeff Green and they finished second in the standings four times. The team shut down during the 2007 NASCAR Busch Series season due to a lack of funding. Pollex later joined CJM Racing as a shop foreman before departing late in the season.
Hank Parker Jr. is a former American stock car racing driver. Akins Motorsports, formerly Akins-Sutton Motorsports was a NASCAR team based in Mooresville, North Carolina, which is near Charlotte. The team was formed in 1992 by Brad Akins, owner of several car dealerships in Georgia and team pit crew member, and Bob Sutton who served as the team's financial manager. At the time the team was sold to Braun Racing in 2006, it was owned by longtime team general manager Doug Stringer. The team was known for its Great Clips-sponsored #38 team in the Busch Series, which was later fielded by Braun Racing and Turner Scott Motorsports.
Braun Motorsports, formerly known as Braun Racing, was an American professional stock car racing team that last competed in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The team is based in Mooresville, North Carolina. Best known as one of the top independent Xfinity Series teams from 2003 to 2010, the team also made several starts in the Sprint Cup Series. The team was owned by Todd Braun, son of Braun Corporation founder Ralph Braun. The team formerly had alliances with Chip Ganassi Racing and Dale Earnhardt, Inc., and the team's operations also included former entries from ppc Racing and Akins Motorsports.
Dale Earnhardt, Inc. (DEI) is a former race team founded by Dale Earnhardt and his wife, Teresa Earnhardt, to compete in the NASCAR Cup Series, the highest level of competition for professional stock car racing in the United States. From 1998 to 2009, the company operated as a NASCAR-related organization in Mooresville, North Carolina, United States. Earnhardt was a seven-time Winston Cup champion. He died in a crash on the final lap of the 2001 Daytona 500. Despite his ownership of the DEI racing team, Earnhardt never drove for his team in the Winston Cup; instead, he raced for his long-time mentor and backer Richard Childress at RCR. In the late-2000s, DEI suffered critical financial difficulties after drivers Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Michael Waltrip, and sponsors Anheuser-Busch, National Automotive Parts Association and United States Army left the team; DEI consequently merged with Chip Ganassi Racing in 2009, moving their equipment into the latter's shop, while the former's closed down. Chip Ganassi Racing's NASCAR operations was subsequently purchased by Trackhouse Racing Team in 2021.
Ricky Benton Racing was an American professional stock car racing team that competed in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. The team was owned by Ricky Benton and last fielded the No. 92 Ford Fusion part-time in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series for David Gilliland and Timothy Peters in 2018 and the No. 92 Ford F-150 part-time in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series for Austin Theriault in 2019.
