Gmina Wolbórz is an urban-rural gmina (administrative district) in Piotrków County, Łódź Voivodeship, in central Poland. Its seat is the town of Wolbórz, which lies approximately 16 kilometres (10 mi) north-east of Piotrków Trybunalski and 41 km (25 mi) south-east of the regional capital Łódź.
The gmina is the principal unit of the administrative division of Poland, similar to a municipality. As of 2010 there were 2,478 gminy throughout the country. The word gmina derives from the German word Gemeinde, meaning "community".
Piotrków County is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Łódź Voivodeship, central Poland. It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. Its administrative seat is the city of Piotrków Trybunalski, although the city is not part of the county. The only towns in Piotrków County are Sulejów, which lies 15 km (9 mi) east of Piotrków Trybunalski, and Wolbórz.
Łódź Voivodeship is a province (voivodeship) in central Poland. It was created on 1 January 1999 out of the former Łódź Voivodeship (1975–1999) and the Sieradz, Piotrków Trybunalski and Skierniewice Voivodeships and part of Płock Voivodeship, pursuant to the Polish local government reforms adopted in 1998. The province is named after its capital and largest city, Łódź, pronounced.
The gmina covers an area of 151.22 square kilometres (58.4 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 7,646. It was formerly classed as a rural gmina, becoming urban-rural when Wolbórz was given town status on 1 January 2011.
The gmina contains part of the protected area called Sulejów Landscape Park.

Sulejów Landscape Park is a protected area in central Poland, established in 1994 and covering an area of 171 square kilometres (66 sq mi). It takes its name from the town of Sulejów.
