Goondiwindi State High School is a public, co-educational, high school, located in Goondiwindi, Queensland, Australia. [1] It is administered by the Department of Education, with an enrolment of 505 students and a teaching staff of 51, as of 2023. [2] The school serves students from Year 7 through to Year 12, [1] predominately from the local areas of Goondiwindi, Yelarbon, Inglewood, Millmerran, and Toobeah, as well as many other small towns in the district.[ citation needed ]

History

The school was one of the numerous civic improvements to occur in Goondiwindi between the 1920s and 1960s, [3] opening on 28 January 1964, [4] with an enrolment of 178 students by February the very same year. [5]

On the schools 50th Anniversary in 2014, the student enrolment was 477 students and a teaching staff of 41 (38 full-time equivalent). [6]
