Gopal Narayan Singh is an Indian politician from the state of Bihar belonging to the Bharatiya Janata Party.

In June 2016, he was the candidate for the Rajya Sabha biennial elections for the lone seat that was to be won by BJP. He was elected unopposed on 3 June 2016. [1] [2] [3]

Ram Vilas Paswan was an Indian politician from Bihar and the Cabinet Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution in the first and second Modi ministries. Paswan was also the president of the Lok Janshakti Party, nine-times Lok Sabha member and two-time Rajya Sabha MP. He started his political career as member of Samyukta Socialist Party and was elected to the Bihar Legislative Assembly in 1969. Later, Paswan joined Lok Dal upon its formation in 1974, and became its general secretary. He opposed the emergency, and was arrested during this period. He first entered the Lok Sabha in 1977, as a Janata Party member from Hajipur constituency, and was elected again in 1980, 1989, 1991, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2004 and 2014.

Janardhan Singh Sigriwal is an Indian politician of Bharatiya Janata Party. He is a member of the 17th Lok Sabha representing Maharajganj. Earlier He won Bihar assembly elections in 2000, Feb-2005, October 2005 from Jalalpur. He represented Chapra seat since 2010 in Bihar assembly. He was also Minister of Labour Resources. He was a sports and youth minister in Nitish Kumar cabinet.

Rannvijay Singh was elected unopposed to the Bihar Legislative Council on 3 June 2016. He is a member of Janata Dal (United). He is a former member of Rashtriya Janata Dal. On 23 June 2020 he along with four other MLCS merged with JD(U). He was again elected as a Member of Bihar Legislative Council on MLA quota in 2022.

Rajya Sabha elections were held on various dates in 2008, to elect members of the Rajya Sabha, Indian Parliament's upper chamber. The elections were held to elect respectively 55 members from 15 states, four members from Karnataka and one member from Mizoram and Aruncahl Pradesh, and 11 members from two states for the Council of States, the Rajya Sabha.
