Nand Kishore Yadav (born 26 August 1953) is an Indian politician,who currently serves as the Speaker of Bihar Legislative Assembly. [2] He was former cabinet minister for road construction and health in the Government of Bihar. [3] He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and member of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He is a senior BJP leader who joined,as minister,the Bihar Government after the split of the Mahagathbandhan and parting of ways between RJD and JDU in June 2013. Before that,he was cabinet minister for road construction and tourism and the leader of the opposition in the Bihar Assembly,at present Chairman- Prakalan Samiti (Bihar Vidhan Sabha). [4]
Yadav was born on 26 August 1953 to the Panna Lal Yadav and Rajkumari Yadav.[ citation needed ] His great-grandfather,Jhalo Sardar,was a landlord. There was a myth saying that he used to pet lions. [5] His grandfather,Ramdas Rai,spent the family inheritance,mainly on keeping and breeding birds.[ citation needed ] (Yadav is quoted as saying,"Hum sher se chidiyon per aagaye"). His father had to restart from scratch and set up a business in the Khajekalan area of old Patna,where he was born and spent his childhood. [6]

Janata Dal (United) ("People's Party (United)"),abbreviated as JD(U),is an Indian political party with political presence mainly in eastern and north-eastern India. Sitaram Yadav is an Indian politician who was a member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India. He represented the Sitamarhi constituency of Bihar as a member of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) political party.

There was a political crisis in Bihar state of India during February 2015 over the post of the Chief Minister of Bihar. Incumbent Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi did not vacate the post for former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar,who wanted to return,resulting in a split in the political party,JD(U). After days,the Governor asked Manjhi to prove majority in house by trust vote. Manjhi quit the post on day of vote and later Nitish Kumar took oath as chief minister again on 22 February 2015 ending the crisis.

Jayant Raj Kushwaha is an Indian politician,Member of Legislative Assembly from the Amarpur of Bihar,and Minister of Rural Work in the Government of Bihar. In the 2020 election,he defeated Jitendra Singh of the Indian National Congress. While Raj secured 33.13% of votes polled,Singh,the runner up,finished with 31.23% of the votes. Tulsidas Mehta was an Indian politician,who served as Member of Bihar Legislative Assembly from Jandaha Assembly constituency.
