Avik Mukhopadhyay is an Indian cinematographer who works in Bengali and Hindi films. He collaborated with eminent directors like Mrinal Sen, Aparna Sen, Rituparno Ghosh, Srijit Mukherji, Kamaleshwar Mukherjee, Anik Dutta, Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, Shoojit Sircar and Sujoy Ghosh. Some of his most notable works include Chokher Bali, Patalghar, Bhalo Theko, Raincoat, Dosar, The Last Lear, Antaheen, Chitrangada: The Crowning Wish, October and Sardar Udham. He is the recipient of the National Film Award for Best Cinematography four times and the Filmfare Award for Best Cinematographer twice. Churni Ganguly is an Indian actress and director who mainly works in Bengali movies and television productions. She received the Bengal Film Journalists' Association Awards in 2005 in the best actress category for the movie Waarish, in which she played a single-mother's role. She won two National Film Awards for her directorial ventures Nirbashito and Tarikh.

He is an active Member of the renowned Theatre Group Chetana. On 22 February 2016 his directorial debut, in the field of Theatre, Ghashiram Kotwal, which is an adaptation on Marathi play, was premiered. In 2018 he directed Don: Taake Bhalo Laage an adaptation of Dale Wasserman's Don Quixote which was translated into Bengali by Arun Mukhopadhyay many years back. This play marked the re-entry of Suman Mukhopadhyay as an actor after 25 years.

He has acted in more than a 100 movies including Autograph, Bye Bye Bangkok, Bhooter Bhabishyat and Bollywood movie Kahaani 2.
