Gorelord is a Norwegian death metal band which uses horror movie-like themes in its music. It is the one man side project of Frediablo of the band Necrophagia. Contrary to some reports, Gorelord is based in Oslo, Norway. In September 2005 Frediablo issued a statement saying he was quitting Necrophagia among all of his music projects and bands he was involved in, except for Grimfist. He was also a member of Wurdulak, Hemnur, Soul Forsaken, Ave Sathanas, Blodkrig, Deride and was a session member in Svartpest.

History

Gorelord released the album Force Fed on Human Flesh in 2001. Frediablo performed vocals, guitar and bass, whilst Jehmod played drums. Killjoy from Necrophagia and Maniac from Mayhem provided guest vocals on the track "Hells Kitchen". [2]

Gorelord's second album Zombie Suicide: Part 666 was released in 2002. Frediablo performed vocals, guitar and bass and drumming was provided by DNA. The album included two bonus demo tracks from the first Gorelord demo, House of Unholy Terror.

After a four-year hiatus, Norwegian Chainsaw Massacre was released in 2006. On Norwegian Chainsaw Massacre, Frediablo played guitar and bass, provided vocals and programmed the drum machine. Journalist Dom Lawson provided guest vocals on the track "Glorification of violence".

On 7 May 2007, via his MySpace page, Frediablo announced that he had started pre-production on a new Gorelord album, titled Chapter IV - Hellbound, which will feature Mirai from Sigh on some instrumental tracks. The album will feature 12 tracks including "Horror vs Hell", "Punctured Skin", "Inside a Madman's Mind" and "Spiked Ignorance". The album was due for release in 2008, but has yet to be released.

A raw, unmixed version of the track "Bloodshot Cadaver Apocalypse" was released on the official Gorelord Myspace on 24 December 2007.

Scream Bloody Gore is the debut studio album by American death metal band Death, released on May 25, 1987, through Combat Records. It is considered by some to be "the first true death metal record". Chuck Schuldiner played bass and guitar, wrote all the songs on the album and provided all the vocals. John Hand is noted on the cover as playing rhythm guitar, though this was incorrect and Hand was only in the band for a short period and was not on the recording. This is also the only Death album to feature drummer Chris Reifert, who had joined for the Mutilation demo, and the only one of the band's albums to not be recorded at Morrisound Recording.

Onward to Golgotha is the debut studio album by the American death metal band Incantation. The album was released in 1992 on Relapse Records. It was re-released in October 2006 with a bonus DVD of live performances. In the January edition of the American heavy metal magazine Decibel they added it as their 72nd hall of fame album. To celebrate being added to the hall of fame it will be re-released on 180 gram vinyl, but limited to only 1,000 copies.

"House of 1000 Corpses" is the final track on Rob Zombie's second solo album The Sinister Urge. The song was used in the 2003 horror movie of the same name, which was written and directed by Zombie.

Bestial Mockery is a Swedish black metal band formed in Uddevalla, Sweden, in 1995 by the quartet of Carl "Master Motorsåg" Bildt, Micke "Doomanfanger" Petersson, Jocke "Christcrusher" and Carl "Warslaughter". The band's stated aim at that time was to "channel perverted lusts for Satanic bloody Metal". Although they split up in 2008, Bestial Mockery released four full-length albums for Metal Blood Music, Osmose and Season of Mist, as well as a large number of stand-alone EPs and shared releases with other underground metal acts. In a review of Slaying the Life in Decibel magazine, a similarity between the band and Nunslaughter was noted.

Impaler is a Minnesota horror rock band from the Twin Cities. Impaler formed in the spring of 1983 with founding members Bill Lindsey (vocals), Michael James Torok (guitar), "Commander" Court Hawley (bass), Robert "Meaty Bob" Johnson (drums), and Mike Senn (guitar). The band played original songs sprinkled with a few covers by favorite influential bands such as Kiss, Alice Cooper, and Motörhead. Bill Lindsey is the sole continuing member of Impaler, keeping the band alive for over 30 years.
