Gouden Pijl (English: Golden Arrow), is an elite men's and women's professional road bicycle racing criterium held annually in Emmen, the Netherlands. The first edition was in 1976 and since 2003 the event also includes a women's race. [1] [2]

Emmen is a municipality and town of the province of Drenthe in the northeastern Netherlands.
Johan Lammerts is a retired road bicycle racer from the Netherlands, who was a professional rider from 1982 to 1992. His biggest success came in 1984, when he won the Tour of Flanders and the Ronde van Nederland. Lammerts also won the 20th stage of the 1985 Tour de France.
