The Governor of Togdheer is the chief executive of the Somaliland region of Togdheer, leading the region's executive branch. Governors of the regions is appointed to the office by the Somaliland president. The current governor of Togdheer is Mahamed Abdillaahi Ibraahim Hujaale. [1]

Sool Region of Somaliland

Sool is an administrative region (gobol) in south eastern Somaliland. It borders Togdheer to the west, Sanaag to the north, Ethiopia to the south and Somalia to the east. It is bordered by Awdal to the west, Sahil to the north, Togdheer to the east and Ethiopia to the south. Marodi Jeh was created by splitting the previously existing region (gobolka) Woqooyi Galbeed in two, the other part being Sahil. In 2007 the region of Woqooyi Galbeed was renamed to Maroodi Jeex. Woqooyi Galbeed was thus much larger than Marodi Jeh.

The University of BuraoUB is a university in Burao, Somaliland. It is an independent community-based higher education institution established in 2004 in Burao, the capital city of Togdheer region in Somaliland. Six batches graduated from UB until 2016. It has branches in other districts outside of Burao such as Sheikh, Aynabo and Oodweyne. In 2016, the school was selected as member of Association of Arab Universities. It has a bio-gas initiative done by faculty of Veterinary students and web development research done by faculty of ICT students. It has more than 10 faculties and departments.

The administrative division of Somaliland are organized into three hierarchical levels. consists of 6 regions and 22 districts. Districts in turn contain villages. In addition, the capital Hargeisa has its own law that is different from the law that defines administrative divisions. The administrative-territorial division of the country is established by the Law of Somaliland No. 23/2002, which was finally approved in 2007.

Sahil is an administrative region (gobol) in northern Somaliland with the port city of Berbera as its capital. It was separated from Woqooyi Galbeed and became a province in 1991. In 1998, the Sheikh District of Togdheer was incorporated into Sahil region. The region has a long coastline facing the Gulf of Aden to the north. Sahil borders Awdal to the northwest, Maroodi Jeex to the southwest, Togdheer to the south and Sanaag to the east.

Civil Service Commission (Somaliland)

The Somaliland Civil Service Commission is a Somaliland government agency established in 1993 that oversees the employment of civil servants and lead reforms in Somaliland's decentralisation process. The head of the agency is chairman and is appointed by the President of Somaliland. The current chairman of the agency is Farhan Aden Haybe.

The Issa Musa or ‘Isa Musa is a northern Somali clan. Its members form a part of the Habr Awal clan of the Isaaq clan family. The Isa Musa are divided into four major sub-clans: Mohammed Issa, Adam Issa, Abokor Issa and Idarais Issa. The Isa Musa traditionally consists of coastal people, nomadic pastoralist and merchants. This clan are primarily settled in Somaliland, including Maroodi Jeex, Togdheer, Sahil, Ethiopia, as well as Kenya. The Issa Musse have produced many prominent Somali figures with the Undersecretary General of the United Nations Abdulrahim Abby Farah, the first Somali Prime Minister & second President of Somaliland Muhammad Haji Ibrahim Egal, and the second tallest man in the world Hussein Bisad.

The Mayor of Burao City is head of the executive branch of Burao City, the largest city in Togdheer Region of Somaliland. The current mayor is Abdirisaq Ibrahim Abdi (Hero), who was elected on 20 June 2021.

Mohamed Muse Diriye is a Somali politician, who is serving as the Minister of Water Resources of Somaliland. He has previously served as the Minister of Information of Somaliland, State Minister and Deputy Minister of Ministry of Interior of Somaliland. He is also served as the Governor of Togdheer region of Somaliland.

The Ibran is a major clan of the wider Isaaq clan family. Cimraan had three sons,Egale Ibran, Abdulla Ibran, and Esa Ibran. Its members form part of the larger Habr Habusheed confederation along with the Habr Je'lo, Sanbuur and Tol Je'lo clans. Politically however, the Ibran part of the Habr Je'lo.
