Graham Nicholson (born December 7, 2002) is an American football kicker for the Alabama Crimson Tide, he previously played for the Miami RedHawks. Nicholson won the Lou Groza Award in 2023, which is awarded to the nation's best kicker.
Nicholson played football and soccer for the Summit Country Day School in Cincinnati, Ohio, winning two state championships in the latter in 2017 and 2018.[ citation needed ]
In 2023, Nicholson made 27 of 28 field goals, including a season-ling of 52 yards, and won the Lou Groza Award as he helped the RedHawks win the MAC Championship. [1] [2] After the season, he entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal. [3]
In April, 2024, Nicholson transferred to play for the Alabama Crimson Tide. [1]

The Lou Groza Award is presented annually to the top college football placekicker in the United States by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission. The award is named after former Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns player Lou Groza. It has been presented since 1992, with Joe Allison of Memphis State receiving the inaugural award. The incumbent award holder is Kenneth Almendares of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. The award is part of the National College Football Awards Association coalition.

Van Leigh Tiffin Jr. is an American former college football player who was a kicker for the Alabama Crimson Tide. He was signed by the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL) as an undrafted free agent in 2010. Named for his father, Tiffin is called Leigh to distinguish him from Van Tiffin.
