Marc Primanti is an American former football placekicker who played college football for NC State Wolfpack. He won the Lou Groza Award and earned consensus All-American honors in 1996.
After graduating from Coatesville Area High School in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, Primanti attended North Carolina State University and was invited to play for the NC State Wolfpack football team as a walk-on placekicker in 1992. [1] He was redshirted in 1992 and saw no game action in 1993 and 1994. In 1995, Primanti became the starting kicker for the Wolfpack and earned a full athletic scholarship. He went 11-of-13 for field goals and 27-of-28 for extra points during the season. [2] In 1996, he completed a perfect 20-of-20 field goal attempts, as well as a perfect 24-for-24 in extra points. He had a season-long 48-yard field goal in a game against Alabama. Primanti set an Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) record for consecutive field goals with 27, which spanned his two seasons as a starter. He won the Lou Groza Award following his perfect placekicking season, awarded to the top college football placekicker in the nation, [3] also earned consensus first-team All-American recognition in 1996.
Primanti earned a degree in business management at North Carolina State. He is currently a business partner for FS Series, an event production and timing company based in North Carolina. [1]
Louis Roy Groza, nicknamed "the Toe", was an American professional football offensive tackle and placekicker while playing his entire career for the Cleveland Browns in the All-America Football Conference (AAFC) and National Football League (NFL). Groza was professional football's career kicking and points leader when he retired after the 1967 season. He played in 21 seasons for the Browns, helping the team to win eight league championships in that span. Groza's accuracy and strength as a kicker influenced the development of place-kicking as a specialty; he could kick field goals from beyond 50 yards (46 m) at a time when attempts from that distance were a rarity. He set numerous records for distance and number of field goals kicked during his career.
Michael Nugent is an American former football placekicker who played in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes, where he won the Lou Groza Award in 2004, and was twice recognized as a consensus All-American. He was selected by the New York Jets in the second round of the 2005 NFL draft, and also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Arizona Cardinals, the Cincinnati Bengals, the Dallas Cowboys, the Chicago Bears, the Oakland Raiders, and the New England Patriots during his 16-year career.
Alexis Serna is an American former football placekicker who played in the Canadian Football League (CFL) from 2008 to 2010 with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He played college football for the Oregon State Beavers, where he won the Lou Groza Award in 2005.
Joe Allison is an American former football placekicker. He played one game in 1995 the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the Memphis Mad Dogs, a short-lived expansion team. He played college football for the Memphis State Tigers, where he won the inaugural Lou Groza Award in 1992.

Graham Clark Gano is an American football placekicker for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL). Gano has also played for the Las Vegas Locomotives in the United Football League (UFL), the Washington Redskins and the Carolina Panthers. During his time with the Panthers, he achieved the franchise's record for longest field goal at 63 yards in 2018.

Succop played college football at South Carolina and was the 2009 Mr. Irrelevant by virtue of being selected by the Kansas City Chiefs with the final pick of the 2009 NFL draft. Succop was the Buccaneers starting placekicker in their 31–9 victory over the Chiefs in Super Bowl LV, becoming the first Mr. Irrelevant to play and win a Super Bowl as a starter and an active player.

He won the Lou Groza Award in 2013. He was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the second round of the 2016 NFL draft, unusually high for a special teams player. Despite an accomplished collegiate career at Florida State, Aguayo is considered to be among the biggest busts in recent NFL history. Aguayo served as the starting kicker for the Buccaneers for only the 2016 season. He then had stints with the Chicago Bears, the Carolina Panthers, the Los Angeles Chargers and the New England Patriots between 2017 and 2021 without seeing any regular season game action.
John Christian Kaʻiminoeauloamekaʻikeokekumupaʻa "Kaʻimi" Fairbairn is an American football placekicker for the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL). Playing college football at UCLA, he was a consensus first-team All-American as a senior, when he was also awarded the Lou Groza Award as the nation's top college kicker in 2015. After winning the kicking position as a true freshman, Fairbairn became the Pac-12 Conference record holder for the most career points scored. Undrafted out of college, he signed with Houston as a free agent and was named their starting kicker the following year in 2017.
