Grandes Hits is the first greatest hits collection released from Mexican singer Cristian Castro. It was released on September 10, 2002 by BMG. The compilation featured three never released tracks from Cristian.

It was released on 2 November 2002, by Sony Music Colombia, one year after her fifth studio album and English-language debut Laundry Service. It is composed of Spanish-language recordings from her third, fourth and fifth studio efforts Pies Descalzos (1995), Dónde Están los Ladrones? (1998) and Laundry Service (2001), along with the live album MTV Unplugged (2000). The album only featured Spanish-language tracks and featured no new recordings. It was produced again by Colombian songwriter and record producer Kike Santander working last album Cristian's Mi Vida Sin Tu Amor (1999). It was nominated Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album in the 44th Annual Grammy Awards on February 27, 2002. The title track, "Azul", topped the Latin charts.

"Abrázame Muy Fuerte" is a song written and performed by Mexican singer-songwriter Juan Gabriel. The song was produced by Bebu Silvetti and was composed for the Mexican telenovela of the same name (2000). It was released as the lead single on June 2000 for the compilation album El Alma de Divo (2000) and later included on his 25th studio also titled Abrázame Muy Fuerte (2000). A romantic ballad with Latin and pop sounds and backed by an orchestra, it is a confession of love. Gabriel was inspired to write the song due to his sister's coma.

The song was co-written by brothers Kike and Gustavo Santander and produced by Kike, Andrés Munera, Fernando "Toby" Tobón. It is a pop rock power ballad in which the singer compares love to the color blue. The track was released on as the lead single from the album by BMG US Latin on 3 May 2001. A music video for "Azul" was directed by Pedro Torres and features Castro in a beach, house, and a nightclub with friends and premiered on 6 June 2001.
