Gravitonas [1] is a Swedish electronic rock band formed in 2009 and signed to Sofo Records (Sweden) and Universal Music (worldwide) in 2010. The band is fronted by vocalist Andreas Öhrn and formerly by record producer and songwriter Alexander Bard [2] (of Army Of Lovers and BWO fame [3] ). Other collaborators in the project include keyboardist and producer Henrik Wikström and guitar player Ben Smith. Gravitonas are among the front figures of the Scandinavian electronica scene, often linked to artists like Robyn, The Knife, Lykke Li, Röyksopp, The Sound of Arrows, and Miike Snow, with whom they have also performed [4] on several occasions.
Gravitonas' debut single Kites [5] was released in April 2010 and spent four consecutive months in the Top 10 of the Swedish Dance Chart. The release featured remixes by a number of Scandinavia's leading electronic acts such as Dada Life and SoundFactory. A second release, The Hypnosis EP, [6] was released digitally and internationally by Universal Music on 18 August 2010, featuring the band's second single Religious as its lead track.
Religious entered the Russian Hot 100 chart in November 2010 [7] staying in the charts for over four months and receiving over 100,000 plays on Russian national radio, after which the track was successfully exported to the U.S. where it peaked at #28 in the Billboard Magazine Club Play Chart in April, 2011. [8] A third release, The Coliseum EP, was released digitally on 3 November 2010, featuring lead single and video You Break Me Up.
Lead vocalist Andreas Öhrn and guitar player Ben Smith have since the launch of Gravitonas also taken up successful careers as songwriters and producers for other artists, including #1 hit singles in Japan for boy bands Hey! Say! JUMP [9] and Kis-My-Ft2. [10] Öhrn & Smith also wrote and produced the soundtrack for I Miss You, a movie by Swedish director Anders Grönros which was released in September 2011 and peaked at #2 in the Swedish Box Office Chart.
A collaboration track with Russian pop star Roma Kenga called Everybody Dance was released on 25 May 2011. This exclusive Swedish-Russian co-production was created through the joined forces of Universal Music Russia, Swedish record label Sofo Records, and Perpetuum Music. [11] Everybody Dance entered the Russian Airplay Top 30 in July 2011 and was playlisted on the A-List of Eastern Europe's biggest radio network Europa Plus. The single has since charted in a further six European countries. Everybody Dance entered the Billboard Club Chart Top 50 in the U.S. on 21 November 2011 and eventually peaked at #19 becoming Gravitonas' first U.S. Top 20 hit.
A single and video called Lucky Star was released globally as a digital EP on 15 September 2011. [12] The track was premiered live on Crimea Music Festival, the biggest music festival in Eastern Europe, broadcast from Yalta, Crimea on 8 September 2011 [13] after which the track became a Top 20 hit single in five European countries, going all the way to #1 in Belarus. A single and video called Call Your Name was released on 14 March 2012 followed by a six-track EP called Black Ceremony on 21 March.
According to a message in 2015 sent by Alexander Bard himself on the Gravitonas Facebook fan page, he left the group and the music industry shortly after 2013 to focus on his philosophy career. [14]
In 2015, Andreas Öhrn posted a message indicating that the group had formed its own record company. The first single released was "My Chemical Breakdown" featuring Japanese rapper Gashima.
In 2019, Japanese pop group EXILE released "Love of History", for which Öhrn was credited as one of the track's composers along with Christian Fast, Henrik Nordenback, and EXILE vocalist/lyricist Atsushi Satō.

Alexander Bengt Magnus Bard is a Swedish musician, author, lecturer, artist, songwriter, music producer, TV personality, religious and political activist, and one of the founders of the Syntheist religious movement alongside his co-author Jan Söderqvist. Bard is a member of music band Army of Lovers.
Army of Lovers is a Swedish dance-pop group which formed in 1987 and had a number of hits in Europe throughout the 1990s. Some of their biggest successes include the song "Crucified", which was a big hit in Europe, charting 31 weeks in the Eurochart and peaking at number 14 in 1992. It remains their best-known song internationally. Their second international hit, "Obsession", charted 32 weeks and peaked at number 29.
Alcazar is a Swedish nu-disco group formed in Stockholm. The group is one of Sweden's most successful music acts, both nationally and internationally, achieving a series of hits since their debut single in 1999. Globally, Alcazar sold over 12 million records between 2001 and 2004. The group gained international recognition in 2000 with their song "Crying at the Discoteque," which charted in the USA, Brazil, Australia, Japan, and most European countries.
Vacuum is a Swedish pop band consisting of Mattias Lindblom and Anders Wollbeck. They also work as song writers and producers under the same name. As songwriters and producers Wollbeck and Lindblom have worked with artists such as Tarja Turunen, Tina Arena, Garou, Monrose, TVXQ, Keisha Buchanan, f(x) and The Canadian Tenors. Wollbeck and Lindblom are signed to Universal Music Publishing world wide. Playing symphonic pop, the group scored successes in countries like Italy and Russia.
BWO was a Swedish electropop group, formed in 2003. Prior to early 2006 they used the name Bodies Without Organs. In Sweden they have enjoyed considerable commercial success throughout their career, so far notching up 15 Top 40 singles, including a Number 1 with "Temple of Love", and five Top 10 albums including a Number 1 with Halcyon Days, and have won several major Swedish music awards. The group scored major successes in countries like Russia.
Ola Nils Håkan Svensson is a Swedish artist and songwriter, known professionally by the mononym Ola until 2014, and as Brother Leo from 2018 to present. Born in Lund, Skåne, his career began in 2005, when he finished eighth on season two of Swedish Idol. Since then, Ola has released four studio albums. Eleven of his singles have reached the top five on the Swedish singles chart, with six achieving number one, and nine attaining gold and platinum certifications. After being signed to Universal Music for many years, Ola founded his own record label Oliniho Records for the Swedish market, keeping distribution arrangements with Sony Music in Europe and internationally. Following a four-year break, he returned in 2018, recording under the stage name Brother Leo for Columbia Records.
Eric Khaled Saade is a Swedish singer-songwriter. He spent two years with the boy band What's Up!, leaving the band in February 2009 to pursue a solo career. Saade represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with the song "Popular", finishing in third place.
Love CPR is the fourth studio album by Swedish singer-songwriter Petra Marklund under the alias September. It was released digitally on 14 February 2011 in Sweden by Catchy Tunes, with a physical release two days later. Producers that worked on the album include Jonas von der Burg, who worked with September on almost all of her songs, StoneBridge, Lucas Secon, Cutfather and Jaakko Salovaara of Darude fame. The album was mastered by Björn Engelmann at Cutting Room Studios. It received generally positive reviews from critics, with many calling it more pop than her previous work. The album debuted at number one on the Swedish Albums Chart and was eventually certified double platinum in Sweden for shipments of 80,000 copies.
Mikrofonkåt is a Swedish song written by Swedish rappers Thomas Rusiak and Petter, originally performed by Petter. Taken from Petter's album Mitt sjätte sinne, Mikrofonkåt was ranked #53 on the Swedish Singles Chart in 1999.
Saade Vol. 1 is the second studio album by Swedish singer Eric Saade. It was released on 29 June 2011 by Roxy Recordings. After the Europe-wide success of his Eurovision 2011 entry "Popular", which brought Sweden its best result at the competition since 1999, Saade announced that his next album would be bipartite, divided into Saade Vol. 1 and Saade Vol. 2 (2011).
"Electric" is an English language single by Swedish pop/synth rock band Melody Club, taken from their 2002 debut album Music Machine. "Electric" was a follow-up single to their debut single "Palace Station" from the same album.
"Fade into Darkness" is a song by Swedish house producer and DJ Avicii. It features uncredited vocals from Andreas Moe. The single was released on 22 July 2011. The song incorporates elements from "Perpetuum Mobile" by Penguin Cafe Orchestra, as written by Simon Jeffes. Prior to its commercial release, the song was referred to as "Penguin", which was solely an instrumental track, unlike the following lyrical version.
"Some Die Young" is a song by Swedish singer-songwriter Laleh, taken as the lead single from her fourth studio album, Sjung. It was released in Scandinavia on 22 January 2012 through Warner Music Sweden, and in Germany on 30 August 2013 through Universal Music Germany. The pop song was written and produced by Laleh, and comes after her appearance on Swedish reality television show Så mycket bättre. Lyrically, the song discusses the loss of a loved one but also the need not to give up following this and holding out hope that things will eventually get better. Musically, the backdrop of the song contains swooping melodies and an upbeat tempo. The song has been credited as an unofficial soundtrack for those who lost people in the 2011 Norwegian attacks, with newspaper articles, university lectures and a number of fan videos to this effect emerging.
Icona Pop are a Swedish synth-pop duo that formed in 2009, with electro house and indie pop music influences. Its two members, Aino Jawo and Caroline Hjelt, grew up in Stockholm and created what the Swedish press has described as music which "you can both laugh and cry to at the same time". They signed to TEN Music Group in 2009 and are currently also in a label deal with Ultra Music. Their biggest hit to date has been "I Love It".
Exit is the sixth studio album by Swedish singer Darin. It was released by Universal Music Sweden on 30 January 2013. The debuted at number one on the Swedish album Chart. Exit was certified Gold by Swedish Recording Industry Association (GLF) in its second week of release. The album includes the platinum-selling hit "Nobody Knows."
Big Battle of Egos is Army of Lovers' seventh album. It is a compilation of previous albums, including four new songs: Rockin' The Ride, Crashing Down, Signed on my Tattoo and Tragedy. It was released throughout Europe in March 2013.
"King Midas" is a 1996 song recorded by Swedish band Army of Lovers. Written by Jonas Berggren from Ace of Base, it was produced by Amadin and included on the group's greatest hits album, Les Greatest Hits (1996). It charted for 6 weeks on the singles chart in Sweden, peaking at number 31 and was also a Top-20 sales hit in Hungary, peaking at number 19 in June 1996.

The single was released on 27 September 2019 by Artistars, PowerHouse, Roton, Teta Records, Warner Music Russia, Warner Music Sweden and Yeni Dünya Müzik. "Home" was written by Cedric Lorrain, Javier Gonzalez, Basshunter, Linnea Deb, Robert Uhlmann and Thomas G:son, and produced by Jakob Redze. The single peaked at number 5 on British Commercial Pop chart.
