Greater Mohali Area Development Authority, shortly known as GMADA, is state development authority of Punjab State, India. [1] Chief minister of Punjab is its chairman. GMADA has three functioning committees: executive committee, planning and design committee, and Budget and Accounts Scrutiny Committee. GMADA works in Mohali, Banur, Zirakpur, Dera Bassi, Kharar, Mullanpur, Fatehgarh Sahib, Mandi Gobindgarh and Rupnagar

Prominent recent housing projects of GMADA are Aerocity, Aerotropolis [2] and Ecocity.

Bakarpur is a large village in Mohali district in the Indian state of Punjab. Bakarpur had previously been shifted from Ambala district to Rupnagar district on formation of Haryana state on 1 November 1966. Now the GMADA is going to develop new sectors along with this road and the same has been named as Aerocity. In year 2010 residential plots have been allotted by GMADA to the public by draw of lots. This village is on the newly created Mohali airport road.

Peer Muchalla is a town in Municipal Council Zirakpur in district Mohali in state of Punjab in India. It adjoins Sector 20 of Panchkula. Proximity to Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula and Airport is attracting property builders to this area. It is coming up as a posh area and developed suburb of Zirakpur and Panchkula with many multi-storey residential complexes.

International Hockey Stadium is a field hockey stadium in Mohali, Punjab, India. This stadium serves as the home ground for the hockey club, Punjab Warriors, of Hockey India League. On May 25, 2021, the stadium was renamed the Olympian Balbir Singh Senior International Hockey Stadium in honor of Balbir Singh Sr.

The N-Choe is a seasonal stream that originates in Chandigarh, India and runs across the Leisure Valley to Kajheri, Mohali Punjab, India, and later merges into the Ghaggar River. The stream runs across Leisure Valley and the PCA Cricket Stadium. It is one of the seasonal rivulets in Chandigarh, which include Sukhna Choe in the East and Patiala Ki Rao in the West. The Choe Nala originates at sector 29 in Chandigarh, Punjab.

Sector 70 is a residential and historical sector located in Mohali, Punjab. It is covered with Mattaur, Sector 71, Sohana, Sector 69 and Phase 7, Mohali. There are many parks, around 10, in locality among which famous is Musical Fountain Park for evening stroll and recreation activities. There are many residential complex, apartments and societies.

Kajauli Waterworks is water supply department of Punjab located on the Bhakra mainline canal near Morinda in Ropar. It completes the water requirement of Chandigarh, Mohali and Chandimandir.

Sector 62 is locality, with important administrative buildings located in Mohali, Punjab. Gurdwara Amb Sahib, historical Gurdwara related to Guru Har Rai is situated here. It is covered with Lamba, Sector 69, 63 and Phase 7, Mohali. The only bus stand of Mohali is present in this sector. Various parks includes Dusshera Ground, Sabzi Mandi etc.

Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Inter State Bus Terminus or Mohali Bus Stand is an India's first air conditioned bus station located in the sector 56-57 of Mohali city. It was constructed at a cost of 700 crore (US$88 million) and opened to public on 16 December 2016. It will have 1844 Punjab Roadways buses with 1810 ordinary and 34 super integral coach AC buses.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">New Chandigarh, Punjab</span> City in Punjab, India

New Chandigarh is a new planned smart city near Mullanpur in the Mohali district in Punjab, India. It has been designed as an extension of the city of Chandigarh. It is developed by the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority. A digital land survey was started by using a drone on 26 April 2018 and was completed on 24 June 2018. Initial Master of city is divided in sectors numbering 1 to 21.

The Patiala Ki Rao is a seasonal stream that originates in Shivalik Hills, Punjab, enters Chandigarh then to Mohali and later merges into the Ghaggar River. The stream runs across Fateh Burj at Chappar Chiri. It is one of the seasonal rivulets amongst others in Chandigarh, which include Sukhna Choe in the East and N Choe in the West.
