Green Power [1] is a non-governmental organisation in Hong Kong founded in 1988, concerned with the city's environmental issues.
Green Power established the first Green Schools Network in Hong Kong to support environmental education in collaboration with schools. The organization works closely with teachers to promote environmental awareness among young students. Additionally, three Environmental Resource Centres have been set up in secondary and primary schools to further these efforts.
The Tsuen Wan Environmental Resources Centre and Wan Chai Environmental Resources Centre were established by the Environmental Protection Department and have been managed by Green Power since 2000 and 2006, respectively. These centers offer the public access to environmental information and reading materials, as well as guided visit services. They serve as hubs for promoting environmental protection messages within the community.
The Green Power Hike is an annual charitable walkathon organized by Green Power and is the largest event held on the 50-km Hong Kong Trail. First launched in 1994 with around 100 participants, the hike has since attracted over 28,000 participants and raised more than HK$26 million. In 2008 alone, the event drew approximately 3,000 participants and raised over HK$4 million. All funds raised are directed towards supporting local environmental education programs in kindergartens, primary, and secondary schools. [2]
Discovery Bay (DB) is a resort town on Lantau Island, Hong Kong. Wah Yan College, Hong Kong also referred to by its acronym WYHK, is a Catholic all-boys grant-in-aid secondary education institution run by the Society of Jesus in Wan Chai, Hong Kong. It was founded by Peter Tsui on 16 December 1919. It was a non-sectarian school when it was founded, and the Jesuits took over the operation of the school in 1932.
Quarry Bay is an area beneath Mount Parker in the Eastern District of Hong Kong Island, in Hong Kong. Quarry Bay is bordered by Sai Wan Ho to the east, Mount Parker to the south, North Point to the west, and Victoria Harbour to the north.
The Community Chest of Hong Kong is an independent, nonprofit organization established on 8 November 1968 in Hong Kong. The Community Chest serves as an umbrella organization to provide grants to a wide range of community projects.
Tsuen Wan Government Secondary School is an EMI co-education secondary school located at 70 Hoi Pa Street, Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong. The school building consists of the hall, the laboratory wing, the classroom wing, and the new wing. Ms. Tang Suk Ching is the current principal of the school, beginning her term in September 2016.

Tuen Mun or Castle Peak is an area near the mouth of Tuen Mun River and Castle Peak Bay in the New Territories, Hong Kong. It was one of the earliest settlements in what is now Hong Kong and can be dated to the Neolithic period. In the more recent past, it was home to many Tanka fishermen who gathered at Castle Peak Bay. Tuen Mun is now a modern, mainly residential area in the north-west New Territories. As of 2011, 487,546 residents live in Tuen Mun.

Environmental Protection Department (EPD) is a department of Hong Kong Government concerning the issues of environmental protection in Hong Kong.The EPD is responsible for developing policies covering environmental protection, nature conservation; enforcing environmental legislation; monitoring environmental quality; providing collection, transfer, treatment and disposal facilities for many types of waste; advising on the environmental implications of town planning and new policies; handling pollution complaints and incidents; and raising awareness and support in the community for environmental initiatives.
The Green Student Council is a non-profit organisation concerning local environmental problems that was founded in August 1993, in Hong Kong, China. Members include accountants, teachers and lawyers, as well as university students. They are expected to bring the idea of environmental protection to the fields they are in.

The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups is a non-profit organization in Hong Kong, committed to develop youth services. Founded in 1960, the Federation has since been involved in providing activities and facilities for the physical, social, educational, cultural development of Hong Kong's youth.
The Green Council (GC) is a non-profit, non-partisan environmental association of Hong Kong formed by a group of individuals from different sectors of industry and academics who share a vision to turn Hong Kong into a green city for the betterment of the future.
Wong Kam-sing, GBS, JP, is a Hong Kong architect and the former Secretary for the Environment, Wong had held a number of public service positions before joining the Government, including the first Chairman of the Environment and Sustainable Development Committee of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects, the Chairman of the Professional Green Building Council and the Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Green Building Council. He has contributed to the promotion and research of the standards and guidelines for sustainable built environment applicable to the high-density urban environment of Hong Kong.
Food waste recycling is a process to convert food waste into useful materials and products for achieving sustainability of the environment. Food waste is defined as all parts of food, inedible and edible, created before, during, and after food processing, production, and consumption. Greenhouse gases, especially methane can be reduced by food waste recycling. Food waste recycling can also alleviate the saturation of landfill sites in Hong Kong.
The Church of God in Hong Kong, commenced in 1968, is a biblical Christian church in Hong Kong. Its main office is located at Shop 7, Upper G/F, Lai Chi Kok Bay Garden, 272 Lai King Hill Road, Kwai Chung, N.T. There are 16 meeting places located in Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories. The church has a congregation of about 5,000 members.
Ng Cho-nam, SBS, JP, was a Hong Kong environmental studies scholar and conservationist who taught as an associate professor within the Department of Geography at the University of Hong Kong. He served as a top advisor on numerous Hong Kong government committees in areas of conservation, sustainable development, environmental protection, urban planning, and was an active member in various environmental NGOs. He was the director of the Conservancy Association from 2000 to 2019.
Environment and Ecology Bureau is a policy bureau of the Government of Hong Kong. The agency was established on 1 July 2022. The current Secretary for Environment and Ecology is Tse Chin-wan.
