Needle Rock View Point is a tourist spot in Gudalur, The Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu. Where the Gudalur is located 51 km on the west of Ooty and the Needle Rock viewpoint is about 8 km from Gudalur on the way of Gudalur-Ooty National Highway-67. One Kilo metre trek is required to reach this view point from the main road. The view point gives you a 360 degree view. Wilson Pine plantations, Frog Hill, Kokkal Hill, Rockwood hills, Silver Cloud Tea Estatates, Gudalur Town and the Mudumalai Forest can be seen from this view point. The peak near the view point is known as Oosi malai and gets its name from its conical shape. The word Oosi malai originated from Tamil Language. Oosi means needle; Malai means Mountain.

Events during the festival include cultural programmes, a Flower Show, a Rose Show, a Dog Show, a Fruit Show, a Spice Show, a Vegetable Show, a Boat Race, and Boat pageantry.

Commercial road is an important roadway passing through foothills in the township of Ooty, Tamil Nadu. The road is characterized by busy pedestrian and road traffic. As the name suggests, the road is an important commercial hub of the town. The most important junction on the road is Charring cross, which is considered to be one of the most important and beautiful places in Ooty.
