Greenland: Migration is an upcoming American post-apocalyptic survival thriller film directed by Ric Roman Waugh and written by Chris Sparling and Mitchell LaFortune. It is a sequel to the 2020 film Greenland , and will be released in 2025 by Lionsgate. [2]

Production

In June 2021, it was announced a sequel titled Greenland: Migration was in development, and the following month, STX acquired the worldwide distribution rights for the film at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival for $75 million [5] and agreed to give the sequel a $65 million budget. It was put into bankruptcy protection, [6] the cast returned, and while Morena Baccarin was initially reluctant, she eventually agreed to return for the sequel. [7] In May 2024, Lionsgate acquired the United States distribution rights for the film.

Filming

Principal photography began on April 29, 2024, in Alton, Hampshire, United Kingdom and Iceland. [8] [9] The project wrapped in July 2024. [10]
