Grip Digital (also known as Grip Games) is a developer and publisher of video games based in Prague, Czech Republic. It focuses on developing and publishing video games. Its main focus are consoles.

History

The studio was established by Jakub Mikyska and Jan Cabuk. [1] Studio focused to PlayStation Portable consoles but eventually moved to PlayStation 3 and Vita. Employees of Grip Digital were recruited in Studios such as 2K Czech or Disney Mobile. [2]

Grip Digital later got in touch with Teotl Studios, authors of Unmechanical . Grip Digital developed the Extended version of the game. Teotl Studios then decided to keep the cooperation and both studios started to work together on The Solus Project . [3] [4]

It is available on Steam, GOG.com, GamersGate, OnLive, Rain, Desura and on the App Store. Unmechanical: Extended is an extended edition of the original game, developed by Czech developer Grip Games. It features new levels and bonuses. It was also released for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2015.

The Solus Project is a first-person single-player survival video game developed by Teotl Studios and Grip Games. An early access version of the game was released on Steam, Xbox One and GOG in February 2016, and the full version of the game was released on June 7, 2016 on PC and July 15, 2016 for Xbox One. The game is a spiritual successor to previous Teotl title, The Ball.

<i>Skylar & Plux: Adventure on Clover Island</i> 2017 video game

Skylar & Plux: Adventure on Clover Island is a 3D platform video game by Right Nice Games and Grip Digital. It is inspired by games like Jak & Daxter and Ratchet & Clank. It was scheduled for January 2017 but released on 19 May 2017. By August 4, 2021 it was delisted from all platforms under publisher request, despite Right Nice Games not being notified.

Czech Game of the Year Awards Annual award

Czech Game of the Year Awards are annual awards that recognize accomplishments in video game development in the Czech Republic. The awards began as part of Gameday Festival in 2010, but became independent from the festival in 2017. The awards are organised by the České Hry association.
