Gunhild Vehusheia (born 1975 in Grimstad [1] ) is a Norwegian lawyer and women's rights leader. She served as President of the Norwegian Women's Lobby, [2] an umbrella organisation for the Norwegian women's movement with ten nationwide member organisations,from 2016 to 2017. She has formerly been executive director of the non-profit NGO Legal Advice for Women (JURK) [3] and chairperson of the board of the Nordic Women's University. [1]
Gunhild Vehusheia holds a cand.jur. degree from the University of Oslo from 2003, [1] and was a lawyer at the law firm Salomon-Johansen from 2012 to 2015. She is currently a partner at the law firm Vive Advokater. She is known for representing children in court as well as for representing vulnerable groups such as victims of human trafficking [4] and au pairs. [5] [6]
Vehusheia is a member of the executive board of the Norwegian Association for Women's Rights [7] and is a board member of Legal Advice for Women. She also lectures on violence against women at Nord University.

A community legal centre (CLC) is the Australian term for an independent not-for-profit organisation providing legal aid services,that is,provision of assistance to people who are unable to afford legal representation and access to the court system. Karin Maria Bruzelius is a Swedish-born Norwegian supreme court justice and former president of the Norwegian Association for Women's Rights. In 1989,she became the first woman to be appointed Permanent Secretary of a government ministry,heading the Ministry of Transport and Communications until 1997. She was appointed supreme court justice on the Supreme Court of Norway in 1997,retiring in 2011. She has previously also been a director-general in the Ministry of Justice and a corporate lawyer. She served as president of the Norwegian Association for Women's Rights from 1978 to 1984,and from 2018 to 2020. Margunn Bjørnholt is a Norwegian sociologist and economist. She is a research professor at the Norwegian Centre for Violence and Traumatic Stress Studies (NKVTS) and a professor of sociology at the University of Bergen. Her research has focused on financial institutions,management and working life and later on gender equality,migration and violence. She has also worked as a consultant,a civil servant,served as an expert to the European Commission and been president of the Norwegian Association for Women's Rights.
The Norwegian Women's Lobby is a feminist policy and advocacy organization in Norway and works for "the human rights of girls and women in all their diversity,to eliminate all forms of discrimination against all girls and women and to promote a gender equal society." It is described as the country's "main,national,umbrella organization" for women's rights. NWL understands women's human rights and discrimination in an intersectional perspective and works to represent the interests of all those who identify as women and girls. Sara Hossain is a Bangladeshi lawyer. She is a barrister in the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. She is the honorary executive director of the Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust (BLAST),a major legal aid provider. She has been at the forefront of advocating for women's rights in Bangladeshi courts and played a key role in drafting legal reforms to protect women. She was the plaintiff's lawyer in the landmark case of Bangladesh National Women Lawyers Association (BNWLW) v. Bangladesh,in which the Supreme Court supported the judicial practice of referring to international human rights law in the absence of domestic legislation. She is known for her role in challenging fatwa violence when a fatwa is issued to mete out punishment to women and girls. Ragnhild Helene Hennum is a Norwegian jurist,academic administrator and women's rights leader. She is Professor of Public Law at the University of Oslo Faculty of Law and Director of the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights. Hennum served as Pro-Rector of the University of Oslo,the university's second highest official,2014–2017. She previously served as the university's Vice-Rector 2009–2014. Hennum's research fields are criminal law,criminal procedure and sociology of law,and she is a specialist on child sexual abuse,sexual violence in general and forced marriage. She is President of the Norwegian Women's Lobby,the umbrella organisation for the Norwegian women's movement.
