A community legal centre (CLC) is the Australian term for an independent not-for-profit organisation providing legal aid services,that is,provision of assistance to people who are unable to afford legal representation and access to the court system. They provide legal advice and traditional casework for free,primarily funded by federal,state and local government. Working with clients who are mostly the most disadvantaged and vulnerable people in Australian society,they also work with other agencies to address related problems,including financial,social and health issues. Karin Maria Bruzelius is a Swedish-born Norwegian supreme court justice and former president of the Norwegian Association for Women's Rights. In 1989,she became the first woman to be appointed Permanent Secretary of a government ministry,heading the Ministry of Transport and Communications until 1997. She was appointed supreme court justice on the Supreme Court of Norway in 1997,retiring in 2011. She has previously also been a director-general in the Ministry of Justice and a corporate lawyer. She was a member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration at The Hague from 2004 to 2010,and chaired the Petroleum Price Board from 1987 to 2004. She served as president of the Norwegian Association for Women's Rights from 1978 to 1984,and from 2018 to 2020. Sara Hossain is a Bangladeshi lawyer. She is a barrister in the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. She is the honorary executive director of the Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust (BLAST),a major legal aid provider. She has been at the forefront of advocating for women's rights in Bangladeshi courts and played a key role in drafting legal reforms to protect women. She was the plaintiff's lawyer in the landmark case of Bangladesh National Women Lawyers Association (BNWLW) v. Bangladesh,in which the Supreme Court supported the judicial practice of referring to international human rights law in the absence of domestic legislation. She is known for her role in challenging fatwa violence when a fatwa is issued to mete out punishment to women and girls. She co-edited 'Honour':Crimes,Paradigms and Violence Against Women with Lynn Welchman.
Ragnhild Helene Hennum is a Norwegian jurist,academic administrator and women's rights leader. She is Professor of Public Law at the University of Oslo Faculty of Law and Director of the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights. Hennum served as Pro-Rector of the University of Oslo,the university's second highest official,2014–2017. She previously served as the university's Vice-Rector 2009–2014. Hennum's research fields are criminal law,criminal procedure and sociology of law,and she is a specialist on child sexual abuse,sexual violence in general and forced marriage. She is President of the Norwegian Women's Lobby,the umbrella organisation for the Norwegian women's movement.

Ruth Anker Høyer was a Danish-born Norwegian judge and women's rights leader. She was a president of the Norwegian Association of Female Lawyers and was President of the Oslo Bar Association and a member of the presidium of the Norwegian Bar Association.
