China Academy of Art, also translated as China National Academy of Fine Arts, is a fine arts college under the direct charge of the Ministry of Culture of China. It was founded in Hangzhou in 1928 by the government of the Republic of China and the renowned educator Cai Yuanpei. It was the first art university and first graduate school in Chinese history. It is a Chinese Ministry of Education Double First Class Discipline University, with Double First Class status in certain disciplines.

Wang Zigan (Chinese:王子淦) was a modern papercutting artist, master of arts and crafts, and famous Shanghai-style papercutter. His works contain both the delicacy of the South and the outgoingness of the North, ranging from flowers and grass to insects, birds, and beasts. His most important representative works are "The crowing of the cock", "Chicken eats centipede", etc. His "Selected papercutting works of Wang Zigan" was published. He once published "History of Shanghai papercutting" and "The creation of papercutting".
The Nanjing Great Hall of the People, which serves as National Theatre of Drama and Music and Art Gallery, was built in 1936, and is located at No. 264, Changjiang Road, Xuanwu District, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China. The gross floor area being 5,100 square meters, the 4 story hall was built up of reinforced concrete, facing south. Its original name was the National Great Hall and the hall was renamed in 1949.

CAA Art Museum, is an art museum affiliated to China Art Academy (CAA) in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China. Despite its history dating back to 1935, the Museum became open to the public in 2003 after its building was reconstructed. Now, the museum comprises three sub-museum, including the Art Museum, the Design Museum and the Folk Crafts Museum. In 2015, the museum was listed among the 13 key art museums of China by the Ministry of Culture.
Zhao Meng was a Chinese sculptor and art educator. He served as Vice President and Party Secretary of the Academy of Arts & Design of Tsinghua University.
