Gurbachan Singh was an Indian long-distance runner. He competed in the men's 5000 metres at the 1928 Summer Olympics. [1]

He set a provincial record at the Punjab Olympic Trials held in Lahore in January 1928. He represented the Intermediate College in Lyallpur at the time. He won the mile race in 4 minutes and 41 seconds, besting Kundan Lal's record by two seconds. He won the 5 mile race in 27 minutes, a 1 minute and 26 seconds faster than the previous record held by Ata Elahi. [2]

Singh attended the Government College University Faisalabad in Faisalabad, Pakistan. He was from Punjab, India. [3]
