Guro Kleven Hagen (born 11 May 1994) is a Norwegian violinist raised in Fagernes. She is the First concertmaster at the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet orchestra since January 2018. [1] [2]
In 2012 Kleven Hagen attended studies with Professor Antje Weithaas at the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin [3] following many years of studies at Barratt Due Institute of Music.
In 2010 Kleven Hagen won the title Virtuoso performing Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto, and was the winner of "Den norske solistpris" and became the Norwegian participant in Eurovision Young Musicians 2010 where sh came second. That same year she became the first Norwegian finalist in Menuhin Competition where she was awarded the EMCY prize. [4] In 2011 she debuted with Oslo Philharmonic, and has been soloist in Germany, Russia, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, Israel, and Norway.
Kleven Hagen is performing on a violin made by C. Bergonzi (Cremona, Italy) made about 1735–40, also known as Kreisler-Bergonzi [5] on loan from Dextra Musica.

The Eurovision Young Musicians 1984 was the second edition of the Eurovision Young Musicians, held at the Victoria Hall in Geneva, Switzerland on 22 May 1984. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation, musicians who could be no older than 19 years of age, from seven countries participated in the televised final hosted by Georges Kleinmann. The Yehudi Menuhin International Competition for Young Violinists is an international music competition for violinists under the age of 22. It was founded by Yehudi Menuhin in 1983 with the goal of nurturing young violinists. In its early years, the competition took place in Folkestone on the south coast of England. Since 1998, it has been held biennially in different cities around the world. Several of the competition's past laureates, including Julia Fischer, Tasmin Little, and Nikolaj Znaider, have gone on to major international careers.
