Gus Johnson Jr. was an American professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association (NBA). A 6 ft 6 in (1.98 m), 235-pound (107 kg) forward–center, he spent nine seasons with the Baltimore Bullets, and his final season was split between the Phoenix Suns and the Indiana Pacers of the American Basketball Association (ABA).
Earl Verdelle Young is a retired American sprinter. He competed at the 1960 Olympics and won a gold medal in the 4 × 400 m relay setting a new world record at 3.02.2. He finished sixth in 400 m, in a time of 45.9 s that matched the former Olympic Record. At the 1963 Pan American Games, Young won gold medals in both 4 × 100 m and 4 × 400 m relays.

Spała is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Inowłódz, within Tomaszów Mazowiecki County, Łódź Voivodeship, in central Poland. It lies on the Pilica River, approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) west of Inowłódz, 9 km (6 mi) east of Tomaszów Mazowiecki, and 54 km (34 mi) south-east of the regional capital Łódź. She retired after the 1966 games to have a family, but went back into training when the 1974 Games were allocated to Christchurch. She also competed at the 1956, 1960, and 1964 Summer Olympics, and went to the 1976 and 1984 games as an official (chaperone). She placed fourth in the shot put in 1960 and 1964, and fifth in 1956.

Gordon Stephen "Gus" Giovanelli is an American former rower who competed in the 1948 Summer Olympics. He rowed for the University of Washington and in 1948 he was the bowman of the American boat which won the gold medal in the coxed fours event. He was born in Everett, Washington.
Dannette Louise Young-Stone is a former American track and field athlete. She won a gold medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul as a member of the 4 × 100 metres relay team. Four years later at the 1992 Summer Olympics, in Barcelona, she won a silver medal in the 4 × 400 meters relay. She is an alumnus of Alabama A&M University, where she won the Division II track title in the 100 and 200 meters three straight years, as well as running anchor on the 4 × 100 meters relay team at Alabama A&M.
Washington Augusto Poyet Carreras(12 January 1939 – 16 June 2007) was a Uruguayan basketball player who competed in the 1960 Summer Olympics and in the 1964 Summer Olympics. He was the father of footballer Gus Poyet, and the grandfather of Diego Poyet.

He was cast as Chet Clancy in the ninth season of the horror anthology series American Horror Story: 1984.

Gus H. Dean is an American professional stock car racing driver who competes part-time in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 55 and 15 Toyota Camrys for Venturini Motorsports. He previously drove in the series for Win-Tron Racing full-time in 2017 and 2018 and part-time in 2016, 2019 and 2020. Dean also drove for Mason Mitchell Motorsports part-time in ARCA in 2016, winning the race at Talladega that year. Dean also competed in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series full-time in 2019 for Young's Motorsports and part-time in 2020 in 2021 for Hill Motorsports.
Augustine James Cummins was a British weightlifter. He competed in the men's featherweight event at the 1924 Summer Olympics.
