Georges Husson, known also as Guy Husson (Toulouse, 22 November 1931-26 July 2015) was a French rugby union and league footballer, who played as wing.

Biography

Husson started his career at rugby union for Stade Toulousain, [1] becoming a senior player for said team. He later joined FC Lourdes, playing alongside Maurice Prat, Jean Prat and Jean Barthe [1] .In 1954, Husson switched codes by playing rugby league, doing so by first, playing for AS Carcassonne until 1957, and then, for Albi, where he would play until the end of his playing career. [2] With his performances at club level, Husson represented France three times in 1957, [3] taking part at the Rugby League World Cup of that year. [4]

After his playing career, Husson became a rugby union coach for Pamiers, Saverdun and the Stade Toulousain junior team. He later became technical director for Stade Toulousain. [1]

Personal life

His son, Laurent Husson, is a former rugby union player, who was French Champion with Stade Toulousain in 1985. [1]

Jacques Jorda, is a French former rugby league player and coach. Starting in rugby union for Stade Toulousain, he made his debut with the club in First Division in 1966 before joining Carcassonne in 1967 and then, USA Perpignan in 1969. In 1971 he switches codes opting for rugby league and for XIII Catalan from Perpignan where he won the French Championship and the Lord Derby Cup.He was concurrently the coach for Saint-Jacques, Soler and Palau before coaching XIII Catalan and France national team leading the latter to an historic success against Great Britain. He ended his career as director of the French Rugby League Federation.

André Carrère was a French rugby union and league footballer. After making his rugby union debut for Stade Montois, he switched codes to rugby league in 1951, playing for Villeneuve-sur-Lot and was capped twice for France in 1953.

He is the older brother of fellow rugby league footballer Gilbert Benausse, alongside which he played for Lézignan.
