HKW Chemnitz-Nord (abbreviation for Heizkraftwerk Chemnitz) is a lignite-fired power station in the northern parts of Chemnitz with a power capacity of 120 megawatts. It has a 301.8 metre tall chimney. In 2013 the chimney was painted in pastel colours by Daniel Buren.

The Devon Railway Centre is in the village of Bickleigh in Mid Devon, England, at the former Cadeleigh railway station on the closed Great Western Railway branch from Exeter to Dulverton, also known as the Exe Valley Railway. Lajoie Dam

Lajoie Dam is the uppermost of the storage dams of BC Hydro's Bridge River Power Project, which is located in the southwestern Interior of British Columbia. It is located just west of the small semi-ghost town of Gold Bridge. An earthfill structure, it is 87 m and impounds c. 570,000 acre-feet (700,000,000 m3) of water in Downton Lake Reservoir. The Lajoie Powerhouse generates 22 MW with an average generating capacity of 170 GWh/year. A few miles downstream is Carpenter Lake, which is formed by Terzaghi Dam, the largest of the Bridge River Power Project's structures.

Chvaletice Power Station

Chvaletice Power Station is a large lignite-fired power station at Chvaletice in the Czech Republic, owned by Pavel Tykač. Its installed power output is 4x 200 MW. Blocks 3 and 4 use a chimney which is 305 metres tall, built in 1977. It is the tallest free-standing structure in the Czech Republic.
