HRT 3 (HTV 3, "Treći program") is a Croatian free-to-air television channel from Hrvatska Radiotelevizija, that was launched on 13 September 2012.
HRT 3's original history began in 1989, when this channel was originally known as Z3 and later HTV Z3. It officially came on air on 1 March 1991, [1] but was taken off air on 16 September 1991, when its main transmitter, the Sljeme TV tower, was damaged in an air raid. On 7 November 1994, the channel came back on air, this time as HRT 3. The channel was shut down on 28 March 2004, [2] but this time with its frequency de-nationalized and out up for lease in a public tender (it has been used by RTL Televizija ever since). It was replaced by satellite channel HRT Plus until it's relaunch in 2012.
The channel was later relaunched for the second time on 13 September 2012, but with a new emphasis on educational and documentary material, as well as showing classic films and series, with occasional art and independent films. [3] The channel is broadcast in MUX B on Croatian territory, via satellite Eutelsat 16A at frequency 10,721 GHz H 27,500th.
Hrvatska radiotelevizija, or Croatian Radiotelevision, is a Croatian public broadcasting company. It operates several radio and television channels, over a domestic transmitter network as well as satellite. HRT is divided into three joint companies – Croatian Radio, Croatian Television and Music Production, which includes three orchestras and a choir.
Nova TV is a Croatian free-to-air television network launched on 28 May 2000. Croatia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song "Vjerujem u ljubav" written by Dado Topić. The song was performed by the band Dragonfly featuring Dado Topić. The Croatian broadcaster Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT) organised the national final Dora 2007 to select the Croatian entry for the 2007 contest in Helsinki, Finland. Thirty-two entries competed in the national final which consisted of three shows: two semi-finals and a final. Eight entries qualified from each semi-final on 1 and 2 March 2007 to compete in the final on 3 March 2007. In the final, "Vjerujem u ljubav" performed by Dragonfly featuring Dado Topić was selected as the winner following the combination of votes from a five-member jury panel and a public televote.
Barbara Radulović is a Croatian TV host. She is perhaps best known as a participant in the Nova TV talent show Story Supernova Talents in 2003. After that appearance, Radulović soon had a chance to host the HRT music show Video-kiosk. In 2010, she was working as a host on the Croatian Music Channel, which started on November 5, 2007.
