HTC Desire series

HTC Desire is a series of Android smartphones designed and manufactured by HTC. All products in the Desire series were designed to be affordable, touchscreen-based and slate-sized, and run the Android mobile operating system (Android 2.1 Eclair or subsequent Android releases) with the HTC Sense graphical user interface except for the HTC Desire 616, HTC Desire 516. HTC Desire 310 and HTC Desire 210, all of which feature a mixed user interface of HTC Sense and the Android Open Source Project.

The HTC Rhyme is a multi-touch, slate-format Android 2.3 smartphone designed and produced by HTC. The Rhyme was released in the United States exclusively by Verizon Wireless on September 22, 2011, with releases in Asia and Europe beginning in October 2011. The Rhyme is a mid-range smartphone, distinguished by its use of an updated HTC Sense 3.5 user experience, and a selection of bundled accessories; such as a charging dock, wireless speakers, and an LED "charm" that can be used as a notification light. While it was not explicitly marketed as such by HTC, the Rhyme was primarily developed and targeted towards women.

The Samsung Galaxy Star is a low-end smartphone manufactured by Samsung Electronics. It is running on Android 4.1.2(Jelly Bean). It has unofficial Android 4.4, 5.1, 6.0.1 and 7.1 roms. It was announced in April 2013, it was subsequently released in May 2013. It is the cheapest smartphone in the Samsung Galaxy series. Like all other Samsung Galaxy smartphones, the Galaxy Star runs on the Android mobile operating system. The phone is available in 2 versions: a single SIM version (GT-S5280) and a dual SIM version (GT-S5282). The phone competes with other low-cost smartphones such as the smartphones from the Nokia Asha series as well as low-cost smartphones manufactured by Indian manufacturers such as Micromax, Karbonn, Spice Digital, Lava International and Celkon. It is available in certain Asian countries such as India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Philippines, Indonesia etc. where low-cost smartphones are very popular as well as in Morocco, Algeria, South Africa, Portugal, France, Germany, Russia and Ukraine. Brazilian version is also released, dubbed GT-S5283B.

The HTC Desire 601 is an Android smartphone designed and manufactured by HTC. The Desire 601 is a mid-range device carrying design traits from the HTC One and One Mini, utilizing a dual-core processor, 4.5-inch qHD display, and offering LTE support.

Redmi is a subsidiary company owned by the Chinese electronics company Xiaomi. It was first announced in July 2013 as a budget smartphone line, and became a separate sub-brand of Xiaomi in 2019 with entry-level and mid-range devices, while Xiaomi itself produces upper-range and flagship Xiaomi phones. Redmi phones use Xiaomi's MIUI user interface on top of Android. Models are divided into the entry-level Redmi, the mid-range Redmi Note, and the high-end Redmi K. The unrelated Mi A Android One series is positioned in the same market segment as Redmi devices, despite being part of the upper-range Xiaomi Mi lineup. The most significant difference from other Xiaomi smartphones is that Redmi uses less expensive components, allowing lower prices while retaining good specifications. In August 2014, The Wall Street Journal reported that in the second quarter of the 2014 fiscal year, Xiaomi had a market share of 14% of the China smartphone market; Redmi sales were attributed as a contributing factor toward this ranking.

The HTC Desire 620 is an Android-based smartphone designed and manufactured by HTC. It is part of the Desire range of mid-range handsets. It was announced on 29 November 2014 in Taiwan. It was announced for the European market on 9 December 2014.

The OnePlus Nord is an Android-based smartphone manufactured by OnePlus, unveiled on 21 July 2020. It is the first device in the Nord series. It is the first mid-range smartphone from OnePlus since the 2015 OnePlus X. It is available in Europe, India, Hong Kong, and Malaysia. Android Police has suggested that the OnePlus Nord is only launching in countries where cheap smartphones that can be bought outright are more popular than expensive ones that consumers can only afford via monthly payments and carrier subsidies.
