Habib Kot (Urdu : حبیب کوٹ ) is a village in Shikarpur district of Sindh province in Pakistan. It is 10 kilometers (6.2 mi) in South of Shikarpur and 27 kilometers (17 mi) in North of Sukkur. It is located at 27° 51 North and 68° 39 East and has an altitude of 187 feet (57 m). [1]

Habib Kot is famous for its railway station located on Rohri - Quetta railway line. It is the junction of Kotri - Habib Kot via Dadu and Larkana branch railway line.

The trip takes approximately 20 hours 25 minutes to cover a published distance of 916 kilometres (569 mi), running at 45 kilometres per hour (28 mph) & traveling along a stretch of the Karachi–Peshawar Railway Line, Kotri–Attock Railway Line and Rohri–Chaman Railway Line. The train is named after the famous Bolan Pass, a strategically located pass connecting to Central Asia. The train was cancelled after the 2022 floods, but service was restored on 25 December 2023..Currently, the train is running once every 2 days with only one rake. There is an AC dining car on the train.

Khushhal Khan Khattak Express is a passenger train operated daily by Pakistan Railways between Karachi and Peshawar. The trip takes approximately 34 hours and 15 minutes to cover a published distance of 1,512 kilometres (940 mi), traveling along a stretch of the Karachi–Peshawar Railway Line and Kotri–Attock Railway Line. The train named after Khushhal Khan Khattak, a Pashtun nationalist and poet, warrior, scholar, and chief of the Khattak tribe. Khushhal Khan Khattak Express was suspended in March 2020 due to Covid-19, but efforts are being made to run this train again. The train has not been restored till 2023, the route of this train is unique and it was the only train which touches Rajanpur and Dera Ghazi Khan.

Karachi–Peshawar Railway Line is one of four main railway lines in Pakistan, operated and maintained by Pakistan Railways. The line starts from Kiamari station in the province of Sindh and ends at Peshawar Cantonment Station in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The railway track is dual between Keamari and Shahdara Bagh, Chaklala and Golra Sharif. The total length of the line is 1,687 kilometers (1,048 mi), with 173 railway stations in between. The line serves as the country's main passenger and freight line with 75% of the country's cargo and passenger traffic.

Khanewal–Wazirabad Branch Line is one of several branch lines in Pakistan, operated and maintained by Pakistan Railways. The line begins at Khanewal Junction station and ends at Wazirabad Junction station. There are 30 railway stations between these two junctions, across a total length of 325 kilometers (202 mi) of railway line. The line is important as it connects Faisalabad with other parts of the country by rail. The Khanewal–Wazirabad Branch Line was originally named the Wazirabad–Multan Railway under the North Western State Railway. A survey for a railway line began in 1892.
