Haki Demolli (born February 17,1963) is a Kosovo Albanian politician,lawyer,and professor. He served as the Minister of the Kosovo Security Force from 2014 to 2017 and as Kosovo's Minister of Justice in 2010.
Haki Demolli was born in Prishtina,Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia on 17 February 1963. [1]
In 1985,Demolli graduated from the University of Prishtina Faculty of Law. [1]
From 1986 to 1987,Demolli interned at the Prishtina District Court. [1]
In 1978,Demolli began lecturing at the University of Prishtina Faculty of Law. He continues to lecture there today. [2]
From September 1999 to April 2003,Demolli lectured at the Kosovo Police Service School (now the Kosovo Centre for Public Safety Education and Development) in Vushtrria. [3]
From 2000 to 2008,Demolli was the vice president of the Football Federation of Kosovo. [1]
In 2001,Demolli a doctorate from the University of Prishtina Faculty of Law. [1] [3]
From May 2003 to 2010,Demolli was the director of the Kosovo Law Center,a non-governmental organization. [1] [3]
From 2005 to 2008,Demolli was part of the steering committee for the University of Prishtina. [1]

On 31 March 2010,Demolli was announced as Kosovo's Minister of Justice,replacing Nekibe Kelmendi. [2] [4] He continued in this position until 18 October 2010. [2]
In Kosovo's 2010 elections,Demolli won a seat in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo for a term beginning in 2011. [1] [2] During his time in the Fourth Legislature,he was the Chairman of the Committee for Electoral Reform and a member of the Oversight Committee for the Kosovo Intelligence Agency. [1]
In 2014,Demolli won reelection to the Assembly and was appointed the Minister of the Kosovo Security Force. [1]
On 9 September 2017,Demolli was replaced by Rrustem Berisha as Minister of the Kosovo Security Force. [5]
The University of Pristina is a public university located in Pristina,Kosovo. It is the institution that emerged after the disestablishment of the University of Pristina (1969–1999) as a result of the Kosovo War. The inauguration of the university was a historical occurrence not only for the people of Kosovo,but for the whole Albanian nation. On 15 February,the solemn Parliament session took place,which is also proclaimed as The University of Pristina's Day. In the composition of the newly established University of Pristina were faculties with their headquarters in Pristina:the Faculty of Philosophy,Faculty of Law and Economics,Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Medicine. Now the University of Pristina has 17 faculties,of which 14 are academic faculties and 3 are faculties of applied sciences. Contained within the emblem is a translation of the name into Latin,Universitas Studiorum Prishtiniensis.
The political status of Kosovo,also known as the Kosovo question,is the subject of a long-running political and territorial dispute between the Serbian government and the Government of Kosovo,stemming from the breakup of Yugoslavia (1991–92) and the ensuing Kosovo War (1998–99). In 1999,the administration of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija was handed on an interim basis to the United Nations under the terms of UNSCR 1244 which ended the Kosovo conflict of that year. That resolution reaffirmed the territorial integrity of Serbia over Kosovo but required the UN administration to promote the establishment of 'substantial autonomy and self-government' for Kosovo pending a 'final settlement' for negotiation between the parties.
The Constitution of Kosovo is the supreme law of the Republic of Kosovo,a territory of unresolved political status. Article four of the constitution establishes the rules and separate powers of the three branches of the government. The unicameral Assembly of the Republic exercises the legislative power,the executive branch led by the President and the Prime Minister which are responsible for implementing laws and the judicial system headed by the Supreme Court.
Foreign relations of Kosovo are accomplished by efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo. Kosovo operates 33 embassies abroad and is host to 22 embassies in Pristina. Kosovo has membership in several international organisations.
International governments are divided on the issue of recognition of the independence of Kosovo from Serbia,which was declared in 2008. The Government of Serbia does not diplomatically recognise Kosovo as a sovereign state,although the two countries have enjoyed normalised economic relations since 2020 and have agreed not to try to interfere with the other's accession to the European Union.
Lesbian,gay,bisexual,transgender (LGBT) rights in Kosovo have improved in recent years,most notably with the adoption of the new Constitution,banning discrimination based on sexual orientation. Kosovo remains one of the few Muslim-majority countries where LGBT pride parades are held annually.
The Central Bank of Kosovo is the central bank of Kosovo. It was founded in June 2008,the same year Kosovo declared its independence from Serbia,with the approval of Law No. 03/L-074 on the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo by the Kosovo Assembly. Before being established as the Central Bank of Kosovo,it operated as the Central Banking Authority of Kosovo. The official currency in Kosovo is the euro,which has been adopted unilaterally in 2002;however,Kosovo is not a member of the Eurozone. The headquarters of the CBK are located in the capital of Kosovo,Pristina.
Behgjet Isa Pacolli is a Kosovar Albanian politician and businessman who served as the first deputy prime minister of Kosovo and minister of foreign affairs from 2017 to 2019 under the Ramush Haradinaj government. Pacolli is a former president of Kosovo,and served as the first deputy prime minister of Kosovo between 2011 and 2014. Pacolli was one of the signatories of the 2008 Kosovo declaration of independence.
The Kosovo Security Force is the military of Kosovo. KSF is tasked with defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Kosovo,military support for civilian authorities,and participation in international peacekeeping missions and operations. Since 2018,it is in the process of transforming into the Kosovo Armed Forces, a process that is expected to finish in 2028.
Memli Krasniqi is a Kosovar Albanian politician who has been the Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) since July 2021. Krasniqi has previously been Minister of Agriculture,Forestry and Rural Development (2014-2017) and Minister of Culture,Youth and Sports from (2011-2014).

The courts are administered by the Kosovo Judicial Council.
