Shinji Kajio is an award-winning Japanese author of science fiction and fantasy. The film Yomigaeri is based on Kajio's novel of the same name and he also co-wrote the manga Omoide Emanon (おもいでエマノン) series with Kenji Tsuruta, which was serialized in Monthly Comic Ryu. The manga is based on his 1983 short story of the same title and became the beginning of his long-running series of "Emanon" short stories (1983-2017+), about a mysterious girl born 3 billion years ago. Emanon was initially a physical-only release available in two versions—a Standard Edition that includes three CDs with the graphic novel, and a Deluxe Edition that packages three vinyl LPs and three CDs with the graphic novel enclosed in a hardcover slipcase. As on January 26, 2019, the album had been added to streaming service Spotify.
