Hannu Juhani Siitonen (born 18 March 1949) is a retired Finnish javelin thrower. He competed at the 1972 and 1976 Olympics and placed fourth and second, respectively. He won the European javelin title in 1974 and finished fourth in 1971. [2] [3]

Sean Furey is an American Olympic javelin thrower with a personal best of 83.08 meters. He has placed in the top three at the U.S. National Championships six times, winning the javelin event in 2010, 2014 and 2015. He represented the United States in international competition between 2009 and 2016, including 2 Olympic, 2 World Championship and 2 Pan American teams. In 2009, at the World Championships in Berlin, Germany, Sean qualified for the final with a season best throw and ultimately finished 12th.

Aimo Antero Aho was a Finnish javelin thrower. He made his first 80-meter throw at age 21, but spots on championship teams were hard to come by with Hannu Siitonen, Seppo Hovinen and Antero Puranen also competing. Aho represented Finland in the 1974 European Athletics Championships, the 1980 Olympics and extended his career to the 1983 World Championships in Athletics at home. Aho managed one national championship, in 1975 but medaled 8 other times. His career best – just short of 90 meters at 89.42 m – came in 1977.

Jenni Pirita Susanna Kangas is a Finnish track and field athlete who competes in the javelin throw. In 2016, she finished ninth at the European Championships. In 2017, she won bronze at the Summer Universiade, throwing a personal best 60.98 m. She is coached by her father, retired javelin thrower Hannu Kangas.
