The japygids are a taxon of hexapods, of the order Diplura, commonly known as forcepstails.
The European wildcat is a small wildcat species native to continental Europe, Scotland, Turkey and the Caucasus. It inhabits forests from the Iberian Peninsula, Italy, Central and Eastern Europe to the Caucasus. Its fur is brownish to grey with stripes on the forehead and on the sides and has a bushy tail with a black tip. It reaches a head-to-body length of up to 65 cm (26 in) with a 34.5 cm (13.6 in) long tail, and weighs up to 7.5 kg (17 lb).
Ctenolepisma is a genus of primitive insects in the order Zygentoma, closely related to the silverfish and firebrat but less reliant on human habitation, some species being found both indoors and outdoors and some found exclusively outdoors. The genus is distributed nearly worldwide in warm regions. Australia lacks native Ctenolepisma, but is home to introduced species.
The Campodeidae are a family of hexapods belonging to the order Diplura. These pale, eyeless hexapods, the largest of which grow to around 12 mm in length, can be recognised by the two long, many-segmented cerci at the end of the abdomen. Abdominal spiracles are absent.
Japyx is a genus of diplurans belonging to the family Japygidae. These eyeless, predatory hexapods largely shun direct sunlight, remaining under stones and among detritus, where they use pincer-like cerci to catch their tiny prey.
Metajapyx is a genus of diplurans in the family Japygidae.
Mixojapyx is a genus of diplurans in the family Japygidae.
Parindjapyx is a genus of diplurans in the family Japygidae.
The Scottish wildcat is a European wildcat Population in Scotland. This population is estimated to comprise between 1,000 and 4,000 individuals, of which about 400 cats are thought to meet the morphological and genetic criteria of a wildcat. The Scottish wildcat population used to be widely distributed across Britain, but has declined drastically since the turn of the 20th century due to habitat loss and persecution. It is now limited to north and east Scotland. It is listed as Critically Endangered in the United Kingdom and is primarily threatened by hybridization with domestic cats. Camera-trapping surveys carried out in the Scottish Highlands between 2010 and 2013 revealed that wildcats live foremost in mixed woodland, whereas feral and domestic cats were photographed mostly in grasslands.
Psylliodes is a genus of flea beetles in the family Chrysomelidae. There are about 18 described species in Psylliodes.
Eumesocampa is a genus of two-pronged bristletails in the family Campodeidae. There are at least two described species in Eumesocampa.

Metriocampa is a genus of two-pronged bristletails in the family Campodeidae. There are about six described species in Metriocampa.
Plusiocampa is a genus of two-pronged bristletails in the family Campodeidae. There are at least 50 described species in Plusiocampa.
Podocampa is a genus of two-pronged bristletails in the family Campodeidae. There are about 18 described species in Podocampa.
Mesomachilis is a genus of jumping bristletails in the family Machilidae. There are about six described species in Mesomachilis.
Pedetontus is a genus of jumping bristletails in the family Machilidae. There are about 10 described species in Pedetontus.
Campodeinae is a subfamily of two-pronged bristletails in the family Campodeidae. There are about 12 genera and at least 70 described species in Campodeinae.
Parallocampa is a genus of two-pronged bristletails in the family Campodeidae. There are at least two described species in Parallocampa.
