Hardcore Never Dies is a 2023 Dutch crime drama film directed by Jim Taihuttu. The film won the Golden Film award after having sold 100,000 tickets. [1] [2] The film takes place during the gabber music scene in Rotterdam, Netherlands in the 1990s. [2] [3]

Jim Deddes, Joes Brauers and Rosa Stil play roles in the film. [2] [4] Principal photography began early 2023. [5] [6]

The film's trailer features the track "Ruffneck Rules Da Artcore Scene" by Juggernaut a.k.a. DJ Ruffneck (Patrick van Kerckhoven), which itself is a variation of Edvard Grieg's "In the Hall of the Mountain King"; both songs interleave in the trailer.

Hardcore Never Dies is an original trademark and Record Label from Dance Concepts and they have approved the use of the name for this film. It's a brand name and music label of this event company with its own artists and merchandise.[ citation needed ]

Reception

Algemeen Dagblad (AD) rated the film four stars and praised Jim Deddes for his role in the film, as well as director Jim Taihuttu. [7] [8] NRC rated the film three stars. [8] Both AD and NRC described the crime plot as 'predictable'. [8] Trouw rated the film two stars and described the film's crime plot as clichéd. [8]

Olli is a Dutch children's book character and a stuffed toy. The character Olli was created in 2004 by Dutch designer and film director Hein Mevissen and writer Diederiekje Bok as a character for a bottled mineral water. Olli was one of the many characters used on the packages and posters of the bottled water brand and John's Phone. Olli was launched at a party of MTV In Rotterdam in 2004. In 2013, Olli was again part of a campaign, this time to save the Rotterdam Zoo Diergaarde Blijdorp. Olli is part of the Ollimania family which is the company that created and owns all characters.
