Hare Krsna Content Broadcast Pvt. Ltd (HKCBPL), is an international media network and TV channel. The media network broadcasts non-denominational, cultural programmes offered by ISKCON and other Spiritual Organizations. [1] [2]

History

The channel was launched on Janmashtami 2016, on the eve of the 50th anniversary of ISKCON for celebrating the various cultural elements of planet earth. [3]

‘Hare Krsna’ TV is free to air, non commercial linear satellite television channel which broadcasts content about International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) on Television and OTT Platforms. The channel is owned by Hare Krsna Content Broadcast Pvt. Ltd. The channel is licensed by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.

Programming

Hare Krsna TV Free to Air Channel features content from across 600 ISKCON centers globally and displays events, music, kirtans, yatras, lectures, bhajans, talks, documentaries, food shows, entertaining stories, children's shows, lifestyle content, Geeta discourses, Vedic analysis, and so forth.[ citation needed ]

Hare Krishna views of homosexuality, and especially the view of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) towards LGBT issues, are similar to their views of heterosexual relationships, i.e. because the living entity is identifying with the body, any attraction based on the desire to gratify the body and its senses is symptomatic of illusion and can be purified by progressively elevating the consciousness. Put simply, both hetero- and homosexual attraction is due to an illusory attachment to the temporary body. Same-sex relations and gender variance have been represented within Hinduism from Vedic times through to the present day, in rituals, law books, mythical narratives, commentaries, paintings, and sculpture. The extent to which these representations embrace or reject homosexuality has been disputed within the religion as well as outside of it.

Nickelodeon is an Indian children's pay television network based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. It is the Indian equivalent to the original American network and is owned by Viacom18, a joint venture between Paramount Global and TV18. Despite using the "Nickelodeon" branding, it does not air any content from U.S. channel of the same name in recent times as part of a localisation strategy, and thus, original Nickelodeon content is only broadcast on the Nickelodeon HD+ channel.
