Dato' Harrison bin Hassan is a Malaysian politician who has served as Member of the Selangor State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Jeram since August 2023. He is a member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU),a component party of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition and was a member,Division Deputy Chief of Sungai Buloh and Youth Working Secretary of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO),a component party of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. In the 2023 Selangor state election,Harrison made his electoral debut after being nominated by PN to contest the Jeram state seat. Harrison won the seat and was elected to the Selangor State Legislative Assembly as the Jeram MLA for the first term after defeating Jahaya Ibrahim of BN by a majority of 5,398 votes. [3]
During the campaigning period,former Minister of Health and former UMNO Youth Chief Khairy Jamaluddin appeared to help Harrison and spent time with Harrison during a meet-and-greet session with Jeram voters. He supported Harrison as the latter was his friend and colleague in UMNO Youth and added that it was the right time for Harrison to contest in elections. He also cited the experience,knowledge,hardworking and realistic behaviour of Hassan that would make him an excellent Jeram MLA. [4]
On 28 July 2023,Deputy Prime Minister,BN Chairman and UMNO President Ahmad Zahid Hamidi announced the automatic termination of Hassan as an UMNO Member after the latter was announced as a candidate representing PN and BERSATU,of which UMNO was a political enemy. Ahmad Zahid also said that UMNO needed members who were loyal to the party and not those who were not as well as responding unsurprisingly due to his earlier knowledge of his defection. [5] In response,Harrison said his decision of switching party was based on the demands of the people who wanted political changes although he was labelled as a 'traitor'. He further stated that he struggled sincerely without any forces or pressures and did not forcefully follow any idols. He further defended his move by claiming that BN and UMNO were still in old politics while he was not. [6]
He idolised the Member of Parliament (MP) for Sembrong Hishammuddin Hussein whom he previously worked with in the Ministry of Defence. He shared that Hishammuddin was shocked and positive of learning the news of him contesting elections and hugged him. [7]
During his late campaigning period,Harrison was forced to use a crutch after suffering swelling in his ankle. His injury however did not stop him from going down to the ground to meet the voters. He attributed it to possibly walking too much during the period. He described it as a test for him as he was determined to visit all 13 polling stations in Jeram and to meet as many voters as possible. [8]

Alongside being a radio presenter for Hot FM,he hosts Keluar Sekejap with Shahril Hamdan,a podcast in which they discuss Malaysian politics and current affairs with a variety of guests. He most recently served as Minister of Health in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob from August 2021 to November 2022.
Mohd Radzi bin Sheikh Ahmad is a Malaysian former footballer,lawyer,and politician. He was the member of Parliament (MP) of Malaysia for the seat of Kangar in Perlis twice and has served as a senator in Dewan Negara. He was also the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department for Legal Affairs (2004-2006) and for Home Affairs (2006-2008). Tan Sri Noh bin Haji Omar is a Malaysian politician and lawyer who served as the Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperative for second term in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob from September 2021 to the collapse of the BN administration in November 2022 and the first term in the BN administration under former Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi from March 2008 to April 2009,Minister of Urban Wellbeing,Housing and Local Government from June 2016 to the collapse of the BN administration in May 2018,Chairman of the Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad (PUNB) from June 2020 to September 2021. General elections were held in Malaysia on Saturday,19 November 2022. The prospect of snap elections had been considered high due to the political crisis that had been ongoing since 2020;political instability caused by coalition or party switching among members of Parliament,combined with the fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic,contributed to the resignation of two prime ministers and the collapse of each of their respective coalition governments since the 2018 general elections.

Datuk Razali bin Idris is a Malaysian politician who has served as Member of the Terengganu State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) state administration under Menteri Besar Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar and Member of the Terengganu State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Kijal since August 2023 and had served as a Senator from August 2018 to August 2024. Green Wave,also known as Green Tsunami,is a political phenomenon that has taken place in Malaysia since the 2022 Malaysian general election. This political phenomenon involves Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) and its ultraconservative voters,who mainly originate from the northeastern and northwestern parts of Peninsular Malaysia. Ideologically,the phenomenon mostly concerns a far-right,authoritarian and ultranationalist movement that espouses increased Malay-Muslim hegemony in Malaysian politics as well as further intimidation and marginalisation of Malaysia's minority groups and religions.

Salahuddin was a 2-term Member of Parliament for Pulai,and also 2-term Member of Johor State Assembly for Simpang Jeram,both since 2018. He was a member and Deputy Preseident (2015-2023) of the National Trust Party (AMANAH),a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition.
