Health Canada is the department of the Government of Canada responsible for national health policy. The department itself is also responsible for numerous federal health-related agencies, including the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), among others. These organizations help to ensure compliance with federal law in a variety of healthcare, agricultural, and pharmaceutical activities. Nguyễn Thanh Long is a Vietnamese politician and doctor who served as Minister of Health from July 2020 to his removal from the Communist Party of Vietnam in June 2022 for involvement in the Việt Á corruption scandal. Ariel Henry is a Haitian neurosurgeon and politician who served as the acting Prime Minister of Haiti and the acting President of Haiti from 20 July 2021 to 11 March 2024, after the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse. He was additionally serving as the acting Minister of Interior and Territorial Communities from 14 November 2022 to 11 March 2024. He later became involved in a controversy due to his refusal to cooperate with the authorities over his links with Joseph-Félix Badio, one of the suspects accused of orchestrating the assassination of Jovenel Moïse on 7 July 2021. Zaliha binti Mustafa is a Malaysian politician and physician who has served as the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in charge of Federal Territories since December 2023 and previously served as the Minister of Health from December 2022 to December 2023 in the Unity Government administration under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. She has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Sekijang since November 2022. She is a member of the People's Justice Party (PKR), a component party of the PH coalition. She is also the Chairperson of the Party Elections Committee (JPP) of PKR. She is also the first female Minister of Health in the history of Malaysia.
