Deftones American alternative metal band

Deftones is an American alternative metal band formed in Sacramento, California in 1988. It was formed by Chino Moreno, Stephen Carpenter, Abe Cunningham (drums), and Dominic Garcia (bass). During their first five years, the band's lineup changed several times, but stabilized in 1993 when Cunningham rejoined after his departure in 1990; by this time, Chi Cheng was bassist. The lineup remained stable for fifteen years, with the exception of keyboardist and turntablist Frank Delgado being added in 1999. Hot Space is the tenth studio album by the British rock band Queen. It was released on 21 May 1982 by EMI Records in the UK and by Elektra Records in the US. Marking a notable shift in direction from their earlier work, they employed many elements of disco, funk, rhythm and blues, dance and pop music on the album. This made the album less popular with fans who preferred the traditional rock style they had come to associate with the band. Queen's decision to record a dance-oriented album germinated with the massive success of their 1980 hit "Another One Bites the Dust" in both the UK and US.

Nux Vomica is the second album by The Veils, released on 18 September 2006. It was recorded in Laurel Canyon and produced by Nick Launay, during spring of 2006. A far heavier and darker sound characterises Nux Vomica, very different from the indie sound of the previous record. Most notable are "Jesus for the Jugular", "Not Yet", "Pan" and the title track itself, while more accessible numbers are the singles "Advice for Young Mothers to Be" and "One Night on Earth". The album which was both written and produced by Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers of American R&B band Chic includes the hit "Spacer" which reached No. 18 on the UK charts in early 1980 and was a Top 10 hit in most of Europe, selling more than 5 million copies worldwide. Hatsu Hioki is a Japanese professional mixed martial artist competing in the featherweight division. He is the former Shooto Lightweight Champion, Sengoku Featherweight Champion, and TKO Featherweight Champion. Hioki is a long time Shooto veteran and has fought most of his fights in Japanese promotions including the largest Mixed Martial Arts organization at the time, Pride Fighting Championships.

Strings (band)

Strings are a Pakistani hard rock band composed of two members, plus four live band members from Karachi, Pakistan. The band was initially formed by four college students—Bilal Maqsood, Faisal Kapadia (vocals), Rafiq Wazir Ali (synthesizer) and Kareem Bashir Bhoy —in 1988. In 1992 the quartet disbanded, only to make a comeback with Maqsood and Kapadia in 2000. While the initial band rode the new wave of Pakistani pop music, the later lineup ushered a revival in the Pakistani music industry.

Leathers (Deftones song)

"Leathers" is the first single from the American alternative metal band Deftones' seventh album, Koi No Yokan, and their 17th single overall. The song was made available on September 19, 2012 for free download on the band's official website, before being released as a digital download on iTunes. It was also the first Koi No Yokan track to be made public, almost two months before the album was officially released.

Space Streakings was a noise rock band from Japan formed in 1993 by four video game programmers. That year the band issued its debut album, Hatsukoi, through NUX Organization. The Space Streakings then signed with Skin Graft Records, whose attention had been piqued by the band's contribution to the Dead Tech 3: New Japanese Music compilation. In 1994, musician and music engineer Steve Albini flew to Japan in order to record the band's second album 7-Toku. Shortly after the album's release, Screaming Stomach who had grown tired of the band's cacophonous sound, left the band. After a brief tour of the United States, which resulted in a collaboration with Mount Shasta of Chicago, Space Streakings disbanded.
