Heads Up is the first studio release by Canadian rock duo Death from Above. It was released December 15, 2002, through Ache Records. The album was produced by Al-P who would later work alongside Jesse F. Keeler in the electronic music duo MSTRKRFT.
Allmusic states the band takes cues from bands such as Lightning Bolt, Liars, and electroclash and describes the album as "minimalist, danceable racket with enough rock sensibilities for the indie kids and enough Throbbing Gristle for the art-noise lovers." [2]
The song "Dead Womb" is notable for the intro with an electronic voice saying: "La cocaina no es buena para su salud (Translation: Cocaine is not good for your health) La cocaina is not good for you." Before the song dive bombs into a punk sounding song. Sebastien Grainger actually said the intro was an old text-to-voice program on one of his older computers that did that voice. Apparently the program had weird choices like "little boy" and such, and it just stuck.

Tyler of Punknews.org concluded his review of the album saying "If you are looking for something fresh, raw, energetic and also unbelievably good to go running to, then get a "heads up" on this record immediately." [1] He also compared the tracks to "techno-style sounds of synthesizer" and "blistering dance-punk" [1]

The band released their debut album, You're a Woman, I'm a Machine, in 2004 and broke up in 2006. They reformed in 2011 and released their second album, The Physical World, in 2014. Since then the band has released 2 more albums, Outrage! Is Now in 2017 and Is 4 Lovers in 2021.
Sing Loud, Sing Proud! is the third studio album from Boston punk rock band the Dropkick Murphys. Before the album's release in 2001, guitarist Rick Barton left the band. He announced James Lynch of Boston punk band The Ducky Boys as his successor. As well as Lynch, the band also recruited then 17-year-old Marc "The Kid" Orrell on lead guitar. The band also recruited a full-time piper, Robbie Mederios, and Ryan Foltz on mandolin and tin whistle.
Matchbook Romance was an American emo band from Poughkeepsie, New York and was formed in 1997. They were signed to Epitaph Records. They released two full-length albums and one EP. Their EP, West for Wishing, released in 2003 was their first recorded album during their time on Epitaph; their full-length debut album, Stories and Alibis, was recorded in the same year.

This album is a collection of remixes of songs featured on the album You're a Woman, I'm a Machine released in October 2004. The tracks "Better Off Dead" and "You're Lovely " are B-sides. The group MSTRKRFT was, at the time, a side project of Jesse F. Keeler, who was one half of Death from Above 1979. The Girl on Girl name is the alias of the other half of Death from Above 1979, Sebastien Grainger. The album is their only release to chart on Billboard by hitting number twenty-two on its Top Electronic Albums chart.
Mstrkrft is a Canadian electronic music duo from Toronto. The group was started in 2005 by Jesse F. Keeler of Death from Above and Al-P formerly of the Mississauga, Ontario electropop group Girlsareshort. Al-P was also the producer for Death from Above 1979's album You're a Woman, I'm a Machine as well as several of Black Cat #13's records. The duo have been close friends, as well as work partners, for a long time. Mstrkrft also produced Die Mannequin's first EP, How to Kill, and Magneta Lane's second LP, Dancing With Daggers.

A Lesson in the Abuse of Information Technology is the debut studio album by American punk rock band The Menzingers. The album was recorded in "like two weeks, maybe just 10 days," according to Barnett. It was released on July 17, 2007 through Go-Kart Records, who they signed to after being featured in a profile piece on Punknews.org. In October and November 2007, the embarked on a tour of the US, which included an appearance at The Fest. They played a shows shows with Young Hearts in February 2008. In June 2008, the band went on a US tour with the Leftovers. They then appeared at The Fest in Florida in October 2008. They played a handful of shows with Captain, We're Sinking in January 2009, and some with Jena Berlin in March 2009.
The Devil's Rain is the seventh studio album by horror punk band Misfits, released October 4, 2011, through the label that the Misfits own, Misfits Records. It is the band's first album in eight years, following 2003's covers record Project 1950, and the first of original material since 1999's Famous Monsters. It is also the only release by the band's lineup of Jerry Only, Dez Cadena, and Eric "Chupacabra" Arce. The Devil's Rain was produced by Ed Stasium, who previously worked with the band on Famous Monsters.
Taelor Deitcher, better known by his stage name Felix Cartal, is a Canadian DJ and electronic dance music producer. He released his first EP Skeleton in 2009 once he signed with Dim Mak Records. Since then he has gone on to release four full-length albums, 2010's Popular Music, 2012's Different Faces, 2018's Next Season, and 2021's Expensive Sounds for Nice People. Cartal has toured with Wolfgang Gartner, MSTRKRFT, and Bloody Beetroots. Cartal set the trend of collaborating with unpredictable vocalists in the dance scene such as Sebastien Grainger of Death from Above 1979, Maja Ivarsson of The Sounds and Johnny Whitney of The Blood Brothers.
