Immortal is a Norwegian black metal band from Bergen. The group was founded in 1991 by frontman and guitarist Abbath Doom Occulta and guitarist Demonaz Doom Occulta. The pair worked with various drummers, and were later joined by former drummer Horgh in 1996.
Carpathian Forest is a Norwegian black metal band formed by Nattefrost and Nordavind in 1992.
Ancient is a Norwegian black metal band from Bergen, formed in 1992. The band released six full-length albums released by Metal Blade Records to date and a variety of mini-albums, EPs and special releases. Ancient used to have the classic raw black metal sound, similar to Darkthrone's works. Beginning with The Cainian Chronicle, they moved towards a more Nordic/atmospheric black metal sound, akin to Emperor and a cleaner production. After a period of turmoil concerning their line-up, they went on to add gothic-style instruments such as violins, a female vocalist, and synthesizers to their music.
Green Carnation is a Norwegian progressive metal band from Kristiansand, formed in 1990. Green Carnation's trend of music has continuously changed on every release one by one; from straight forward death metal in their demo, to death-doom, then a progressive doom metal sound, to an atmospheric gothic metal sound, to a melancholic hard rock sound and in 2006, went as far as to releasing an entirely acoustic album Acoustic Verses. The band released its first album in 14 years titled Leaves of Yesteryear on May 8, 2020, which marked a return to their earlier gothic progressive metal roots. A new single was composed, arranged, rehearsed and recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic, called "The World Without a View", and released digitally on December 18, 2020.
In the Woods... is a Norwegian avant-garde metal/progressive black metal band from Kristiansand, formed in 1992. The band have released a total of five studio albums, three singles, one compilation album and one live album throughout its initial existence. The band disbanded in 2000 and reformed in 2014.
Light of Day, Day of Darkness is the second (one-track) studio album by the Norwegian progressive metal band, Green Carnation. Originally, it was released by German record label Prophecy Productions in November 2001.

It was their first release with Anders Kobro and Tchort in the band's line-up.
Morbid Fascination of Death is the third studio album by the Norwegian black metal band Carpathian Forest. It was released in 2001 by Avantgarde Music, and it was the last album to feature guitarist and founding member Johnny "Nordavind" Krøvel on the band's line-up. It was also their last studio album to be released by Avantgarde before they switched to Season of Mist.
Defending the Throne of Evil is the fourth studio album by the Norwegian black metal band Carpathian Forest. It was released on September 23, 2003 by Season of Mist. A remastered, deluxe double LP version with a bonus track was also released in 2007.
Fuck You All!!!! Caput tuum in ano est is the fifth studio album by Norwegian black metal band Carpathian Forest. It was released on June 16, 2006 via Season of Mist, and as of 2023, it is their most recent release. It is also their first release with guitarist Gøran Bomann on the band's line-up, and their last one with Tchort — both parted ways with Carpathian Forest in 2014 to form The 3rd Attempt.

Chain Collector is a heavy metal band from Norway that formed in 2003. Some of the members originated from other bands such as Green Carnation, Carpathian Forest, Trail of Tears, Dismal Euphony and In the Woods. In 2004, the Forthcoming Addiction demo, containing four songs, was recorded at DUB studio. The band signed a two album record deal with Sound Riot Records in September 2004, but due to the touring of some members with their other bands at the beginning the year, the production of The Masquerade was not finished until March 2005. In July 2005 the German label Massacre Records became interested in the band, and Sound Riot Records licensed the Chain Collector album to them. Massacre Records released The Masquerade in Europe, Canada, and Australia in November 2005, while Sound Riot Records released their edition in December 2005. The band parted ways with Sound Riot and released the second album, Unrestrained in 2007.

Anders Odden is a Norwegian musician. He is the co-founder and guitarist of the early Norwegian death metal band Cadaver and is considered to be one of the pioneers of Norwegian metal. Odden is also one of the founders of industrial rock band Magenta, heavy metal band Doctor Midnight & The Mercy Cult, and black metal band ORDER. He has also been a member of synth-pop band Apotygma Berzerk, touring member of Satyricon and Celtic Frost, and appeared as a guest with several different bands, including The Young Gods and Ministry. In addition to his work as a musician, Odden has worked as a consultant in the music business, seminar speaker, tour manager, and festival and conference organizer.

Anders Kobro is a Norwegian drummer who played in the bands In the Woods... and Green Carnation. He was also playing for Carpathian Forest until 2014.
Cease the Day is the fifth full-length studio album by the Norwegian progressive metal band In the Woods... It is their first album without the Botteri brothers, guitarist Christian "X" and bassist Christopher "C:M.".
