Heathcote Brook, also known as Heathcote Run, is a tributary of the Millstone River in central New Jersey in the United States.

Middlesex County is a county located in north- central New Jersey, United States. In 2017 the Census Bureau estimated the county's population at 842,798, making it the state's second-most populous county, an increase of 4.1% from 809,858 in the 2010 census. Middlesex is part of the New York metropolitan area, and its county seat is New Brunswick. The center of population of the state of New Jersey is located in Middlesex County, in East Brunswick Township, just east of the New Jersey Turnpike. The Heathcote Brook Branch source is at 40°24′9″N74°34′31″W / 40.40250°N 74.57528°W / 40.40250; -74.57528 , [1] about equidistant from Route 1 and Route 27. It flows between several housing developments and crosses Promenade Boulevard. It then crosses Route 1 and drains into Heathcote Brook at 40°22′36″N74°34′39″W / 40.37667°N 74.57750°W / 40.37667; -74.57750 . [1]

It intersects many roads along the way, including Route 18 in New Brunswick, Interstate 287 in Edison, the Garden State Parkway in Woodbridge Township, Route 35 in Rahway, Route 28 in Elizabeth, and U.S. Route 22 in Newark. Route 27 crosses the Raritan River on the Albany Street Bridge, which connects Highland Park on the east with New Brunswick on the west.

Accessibility

The Heathcote Brook Branch is small and crosses few roads, so it is not easily accessible. However it may be accessed from Heathcote Brook.
