"Heaven" is a song recorded by German dance act U96, released in April 1996 as the lead single from their fourth album by the same name. The song reached the top 10 in Austria, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Norway and Sweden. The vocals are sung by singer Dea-Li (a.k.a. Dorothy Lapi). The song's chorus interpolates Cyndi Lauper's song "Time After Time", in which she was given a writing credit.

Chart performance

"Heaven" was successful on the charts in Europe, becoming one of the act's biggest hits. It made the top 10 in Austria (number two), Finland, Germany, Hungary, Norway and Sweden. Additionally, the single peaked within the top 20 in Denmark, the Netherlands and Switzerland, as well as on the Eurochart Hot 100, where it hit number 11 in July 1996. In the United Kingdom, "Heaven" was U96's last single to chart there, ending up at number 87 on the UK Singles Chart, on November 24, 1996. [1] In Scotland, it peaked at number 82. The single earned a gold record in Germany.

The accompanying music video for "Heaven" was directed by Paul Morgans. [2] He also directed the video for "Club Bizarre".

"Lucky Love" also became the group's first number-one hit in Sweden and it also peaked at number-one in Finland. The single peaked within the top 10 in Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Hungary, Israel, Spain, and Zimbabwe. The song's lyrics describe the feeling of being a teenager in love and never forgetting that feeling.

Music critics compared the song to Swedish band Ace of Base. A hit in Europe, it reached number one in Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Sweden, and Switzerland. It also experienced success in the United States, peaking at number 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 in September 1997. The accompanying music video was filmed in Venezuela. "Eins, Zwei, Polizei" is a 1994 song recorded by Italian dance musician Mo-Do and was released as the debut single from his first and only album, Was Ist Das? (1995). The song got its inspiration from "Der Kommissar" by Austrian singer Falco and "Da Da Da" by German band Trio, both released in the early 1980s. It was co-produced by Claudio Zennaro and Fulvio Zafret, and achieved great success in many European countries. "Eins, Zwei, Polizei" reached number-one in Austria, Germany and Italy. Giuseppe Capotondi directed the music video for the song. It has since been remixed and re-released several times. In 1995, it was remixed by DJ XTC of Chile. In 2000, it was re-released in a remix by Maurizio Ferrara, in 2008 with remixes by German DJ Blutonium Boy and Floorfilla, and in 2019 the song was reworked by Dutch-Turkish DJ Ummet Ozcan.

"Das Boot" is the title theme to the film and TV series Das Boot, composed and produced by Klaus Doldinger, and released as a single in 1981. In 1991, the song was covered by German DJ and producer Alex Christensen and his dance music project U96. This techno version was U96's debut single, released by Polydor from the album of the same name (1992).

It added sung male vocals, which was also going to be one of the distinctive marks of the project. The words contained in the title are the only lyrics of the song. It achieved success in many countries, including Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland where it reached the top 10. On the Eurochart Hot 100, "Love Sees No Colour" peaked at number 10. German band Bass Bumpers participated in several remixes of the song. In a strange way, the song is looking like track Living on Video (1983) from Quebec's group Trans-X.

"Feels Like Heaven" is a song by British dance music band Urban Cookie Collective, released on 1 November 1993 by Pulse 8 as the second single from their debut album, High on a Happy Vibe (1994). As the follow-up to "The Key the Secret", it was both written and produced by Rohan Heath, and peaked at number five on the UK Singles Chart, staying in the chart for nine consecutive weeks. The vocals were by Diane Charlemagne, who had provided the vocal for the band's previous hit and their subsequent singles. Its accompanying music video was directed by British director Lindy Heymann, featuring the band performing on the beach.

"Love Religion" is a song recorded by German dance music act U96, released by Guppy label in October 1994, as the lead single from the act's third album, Club Bizarre (1995). Unlike their previous songs, "Love Religion" is more trance-oriented techno and pop. It takes its main melody from Giorgio Moroder's 1978 instrumental "The Chase". The background vocals are performed by Dutch singer, actress and TV host Daisy Dee. It peaked at number two in Finland and Sweden, and was also a top 10 hit in Austria, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland. The music video for the song was directed by Nico Beyer.

The song was a top 20 hit in Austria and Finland, and a top 30 hit in Germany. On the Eurochart Hot 100, it reached number 66 in August 1996. A computer generated music video was produced to promote the single, directed by Paul Morgans. He had previously directed the videos for the act's hit singles "Club Bizarre" and "Heaven". In Pan-European magazine Music & Media's review of the parent album, "A Night to Remember" was described as "cheerful" and a potential future single.
