Pat Levy of Consequence of Sound gave the album a grade of B, saying, "There are lyrics on this album that would make Prince or R. Kelly blush, but just moments later, there are lyrics that would make Leonard Cohen shed a tear." [6] Zoe Camp of Pitchfork gave the album a 7.3 out of 10, commenting that "the rapper constructs his boldest collection yet, grounded in improved production and his characteristic schoolboy wit." [7] Nathan Stevens of PopMatters gave the album 6 stars out of 10, stating, "It wouldn't be surprising if this becomes a crossover hit." [2]

Antonio Williams, better known by his stage name Antwon, is an American rapper based in San Jose, California. In 2013, he was included on Complex's "15 Unsigned Rappers Who Should Get a Deal After SXSW" list. He was also included on Complex's "25 New Rappers to Watch Out For in 2014" list.
Himanshu Kumar Suri, better known by his stage name Heems, is an American rapper from Queens in New York City. Best known for being part of the alternative hip hop group Das Racist, Suri is also the founder of Greedhead Music, an independent record label. In 2012, Suri released his first solo mixtape, Nehru Jackets, on his Greedhead imprint and in conjunction with SEVA NY, a community-based organization from Queens of which Suri is a board member. In August 2015, Heems announced that Fox had bought his story rights for a potential sitcom, and that he was working on the pilot. He is currently a member of Swet Shop Boys along with actor and rapper Riz MC and producer Redinho.
